Locally owned coffee bar serving the finest Italian drip coffee and espresso beverages. No burned coffee flavor or stale karaffe taste, this is my favorite coffee shop in all the Monterey Bay area.

Hip local Vietnamese place popular with the college kids. They don't have the best Pho in town, or the best 5 spice chicken, but its quick, cheap, and the customer service is great.

Walk up and drive through only, this is the late night food spot of choice for locals and Cal State Monterey Bay students. Open until 2am most nights and the burritos are dangerously good. Try the Carne Asada "Chips" (french fries)...also the breakfast burritos are amazing...

Some mighty fine sandwiches at very affordable prices. This place does breakfast sandwiches and burritos also. The lines can be really long at lunch hour but they move quick. Don't be shy, step right up to the counter and use your loud voice, it can get busy and loud in there! This is carry-out only, but its only a few blocks to the beach or the park so you won't have problems finding somewhere to eat.

This is just like any other El Torito, Except for the stunning views of the Monterey Bay. Time your dinner right and you can land yourself a window seat to the sunset as you enjoy your dinner. The bar also has great ocean views and decent prices.

Some of the BIGGEST most delicious sandwiches I've ever had. Bring your appetite. Italian style deli, this is a local secret spot frequented by the service men and women stationed at the Presidio and at the Naval Postgraduate School.

This hotel is nothing special EXCEPT they have a rooftop bar overlooking Del Monte beach and downtown Monterey. This is definitely a hidden gem that even a lot of locals aren't wise to. They offer very reasonably priced happy hour beers on the rooftop bar that you can't beat anywhere else in downtown.

This is definitely a hidden gem that even a lot of locals aren't wise to. They offer very reasonably priced happy hour beers on the rooftop bar that you can't beat anywhere else in downtown.
This is an awesome British style pub with a very British selection of beers and ales on tap. The food is downright delicious too, no greasy spoon pub food they have a proper chef in the kitchen.
