One of my favorite hikes to the dam. Not alot of people, beautiful oaks, wide open spaces. Just before the dam, the Carmel River runs below, and is a great reflective pool of water.

Carmel River runs through this park that the Esselen Indians lived. Beautiful old rock house above the river. Great swimming hole in the summer.
Great place to have a picnic or just sit and reflect at the river.

It's right by the Carmel River, and there's an old rock house that was built long ago that sits above the river. Great little swimming hole, place for a picnic. Secluded, and peaceful. The esselen indians settled there in the 1800's.

Jerome has a quaint market for buying quality meats, fruits, veggies and pays attention to details like fresh bouquets of flowers entering the store.
