Good to know: Prinsen is a classic spot for business men and lawyers (no need to dress fancy however), prices are as such pretty high if you go there for lunch.

Don't forget to dare try the Swedish speciality pickled herring, an essential part of most Swedes Christimas, Easter and Midsummer dinners. And since you are eager to discover a traditional Swedish dish like picked herring you can't pass the proper accompanying beverage: Aquavit. Ask for the waiters advice on what aquavit to try, open up the conversation by saying that you have heard "Bäska droppar" is the kindest to aquavit newbies. :)

Start of by buying ice cream at Fryst, home made ice cream by one of Stockholm's most celebrated specialised ice cream bars. The bars is located just a stone's throw away from our apartment. Continue by walking along the canal towards "Hornsbergs strand" as you enjoy your ice cream. Finish off by taking a dip in the sea if the weather allows (the water is strictly controlled and is amazingly clean).

At NK's lunch restaurant and café Botanique you find great lunch sallads (take the elevator to the top floor). My favourite sallad right now: "Umami bomb". The place is run by Björn Frantzén, the master mind and head chef of Frantzén (the only three star restaurant in Sweden).

The metro station closest to our apartment is "Fridhemsplan". Don't go all the way to the black spot on the map to the left though, just walk to the mall "Västermalmsgallerian" and you'll find the metro station underneath it (much closer to our apartment).
