Parks & Nature
We so fortunate to have this amazing Community Forest. It's managed by the Humboldt State and they've done a really nice job with the trail system. Bring some snacks, you could be back there for a while!
The nearest entrance is just a 7-minute drive away. But the climb starts steep. If you want an easier place to start, I recommend driving to Redwood Park or the Fickle Hill Entrance.
I've left forest maps in the guest resource book.

Laundromat. Newer and cleaner. Has an ice cream shop next door. There are other laundromats closer, but I can't vouch for them.

Interesting fact; no 'chain' businesses are allowed on the plaza, and through out much of Arcata. Only off of Guintoli Exit. Arcata really tries to promote and support local people.
