There are lots of places that you can walk - the Riverwalk extends through downtown to the north via the Museum Reach. You can easily walk from the house to downtown within an hour or so depending on how fast you travel. If you walk downtown, you can easily catch an uber or lyft back to the house or ride an electric scooter :)
