Little taco shop and Mexican store right across the alley! They are a very sweet family and a fixture in the neighborhood. Grab an avocado tostada loaded and add the hot sauce! Chicken and beef tacos are great too!

A newer café to the area on Chicago Ave near Damen Ave. It’s a very clean place with excellent coffee drinks and some tasty snacks. The avocado toast and quiche here are very good.

If you want to visit a food hall and try a few different items, take a walk to the Fulton Market Area and visit the Time Out Market Chicago. It's not cheap! But you will no doubt find something you like in this new area which has become transformed over the past 10 years!

So this place has turned into a super cool Asian market with fresh ramen and sushi with seating availability upfront. You can also get basic groceries along with fresh produce, eggs, and milk but many products are available here from Asian cultures. Fun place to check out!

Take your own walking tour from the apartment! Walk north to Chicago Ave and then walk west all the way to Western Ave (could take 40 min but worth it) to see tons of boutiques, bars, cafes, bakeries, restaurants and colorful vibe! Or walk south to Grand Ave for a shorter tour and go to the Italian sandwich shops, bakeries and restaurants which are east of Ogden Ave or walk west on Grand Ave past Aya Bakery, Coalfire Pizza and Tempesta Market. Walk further past Ashland all the way to Wood St for the amazing Publican Bakery and then visit local breweries just south of that spot off of Hubbard St in the old market area.
