A short drive from our condo. I had the best fish tacos ever here (and I’ve eaten a lot of fish tacos!) Casual with varied menu for all tastes. Very fresh!

Viet Cajun is my favorite place for
fried oysters. Great burgers and some traditional Vietnamese dishes too. Quick service, not fancy but consistent quality, friendly atmosphere, and a view of the Gulf.

Love their fried fish and oyster po’ boys. Gumbo is excellent. And they serve my favorite Galveston Island Brewery beers ice cold.

Great fresh seafood on Seawall Blvd. They also have an excellent happy hour drink and light bites menu - weekdays 3-7pm. The vanilla strawberry martini, coconut margarita, and seafood campechana are perfection! (Fyi you have to sit in the bar area to order from the happy hour menu - kids are allowed in that area)

4 min drive from our condo. My all-time favorite beer is their Tiki Wheat, served year round in their taproom. Lots of seasonal brews. Nice little playground outside. No restaurant but sometimes their are food trucks there on weekends. Check their hours before heading over but they generally open at 2, noon on weekends. Free brewery tours at 1pm on Saturday!

This is delicious ice cream and a fun experience watching them roll the ice cream and toppings together. If you’re a fan of the show Restoring Galveston, you might recognize this as one of the properties renovated by Ashley and Michael Cordray. They will occasionally pop in and help behind the counter. The wait can be long during busy season but there are games to play while you wait!
