Sightseeing
Great for a sunset dip. Try timing your swim about an hour or two before an evening high tide. Nice and warm!

Great for a sunset dip. Try timing your swim about an hour or two before an evening high tide. Nice and warm!
If you don't mind a bit of a tricky climb down a narrow winding path, the Upton beach is probably the least busy beach around. It has rock pools that fill during high tide and warm in the sun during low tide, making it a lovely spot for kids who can make the climb. Dog friendly, but no buggies, bikes and the like. Remember to take a packed lunch and lots of water, else you'll have to climb all the way back up!

A nice beach (but out least favourite, but we are spoilt for choice!). Has the benefit of having lots of child-friendly cafes very close by. Rosie's does lovely pizza and ice cream!

We love paddleboarding on the canal! Especially in the evenings, when Bude is wonderfully quiet.
