With a vegetarian menu that combos a brewery it might sound odd, but even for non-vegetarians the food menu will not disappoint you and neither will the brews and views. Take 12A to Bent Hill. A beautiful scenic drive.

Stowe is a bit crowded in the busier tourist season, but It is a famous destination for tourism and skiing if you like that sort of thing. The drive over Smuggler's Notch is fun.

You need a car
You will need a car to get to the cottage. It is also the most practical way to experience what Vermont has to offer. There are, however, many wonderful roads for biking and Amtrak does service out of Randolph. Heading North that train makes stops to Montpelier, Waterbury and Essex Junction.

Winter guests need snow tires!!
