Great for drinks in the Atmospheric vaulted medieval cellar bar - Food: no frills basic. 8.7 miles Approx 30 mins drive along the narrow single lane Capel y ffin road. Good base for walking. You can park in the Abbey car park. Not recommended for an evening meal more of a watering hole/pit stop for walkers but definitely worth the drive out for the beauty of the setting.

Almost always guaranteed a table from walk in snd usually serves food over a longer period during the evening than most other eating establishments in Hay. So recommended for fresh good quality food from an extensive menu Lovely outside summer deck seating area with a view over the valley.

This is a bit of a drive but a Tymynydd favourite. Food is award winning excellent . Charming cosy old pub with traditional decor and staff who will go out of their way to make your dining experience memorable. Wine list superb.
