Food scene

One of the oldest, most well known restaurants. Friday lunch is a local favorite but any day and time will be fun. It is super old school. Plan on wining and dining and enjoying yourself with no rush. Coats are required for men and no jeans. They don't take reservations for the main dining room but there is a bar if you have to wait.

ALL time FAVE! There's no other place quite like it that I've ever been too. Its outdoor patio and live music is wonderful and such an experience. A local favorite. Live music every evening. Its so cheap but the food is beyond amazing and the atmosphere is like no other. You walk in and select your wine and take it the courtyard then find a table or spot to squeeze in and go from there! Must be 21 to go. Possibly 18 but double check and call first.

AMAZING pizza. Its my personal favorite and it’s super quirky and definitely a hipster spot. Next door is Bratz y'all, Down the street is a cool beer brewery called Parleaux Beer Lab and Bud Rips & markey's bar (Probably the best hipster dive bars, quite the eclectic New Orleans crowd but so fun)

The neighborhood you are staying in. You are actually staying in the area of the Marigny known as "The Marigny Triangle." It is called the triangle because of the way the streets wind and bend with the Mississippi River. This neighborhood is directly behind the French Quarter and above the neighborhood known as the Bywater or 9th ward. Known for it's funky and fun colors of homes, creative neighbors and charm. You'll find neighborhood bars, restaurants, art galleries and shops intermixed through the neighborhood which look like homes. If you are staying at our property at 1801 N. Rampart, you will notice the shape of the house and store front windows because back in the 1900s it use to be a corner store bakery. Enjoy strolling, riding bikes, and exploring a treasurable neighborhood filled with history and culture!

If your searching for creativity, color, culture and good vibes head on over to the bywater! Just past the Marigny. Once you see the train tracks you'll know when you cross them that you are now in the Bywater! The bywater is a hip and favorable scene. It is known for its local artists and colorful homes, large murals, and eclectic feel. The bohemian neighborhood is similar to the marigny but more quirky. Lots of outdoor cafes, boisterous dive bars and hip restaurants! Breath taking views of the Mississippi River and City can be seen from the Crescent Park.

Uptown/Carrollton is a laid-back residential area known for its oak trees and landmark restaurants like the late-night Camellia Grill and the iconic Jacque-Imo’s, serving Creole cuisine. Venerable live music venues include the Maple Leaf Bar, for brass bands, bayou tunes and dancing. Quirky bookstores and indie clothing boutiques line Oak Street, while Palmer Park has a popular monthly art market.
