Sightseeing

Palestrina is a little town built upon the ruins of the ancient city of Praeneste, located at around 22 miles east of Rome. It is connected to the latter by the Via Prenestina. Every tourist heading to Rome should see the spectacular sanctuary dedicated to the Dea Fortuna. Part of this incredible archaelogical complex forms the basis for a Renaissance Palace now an Archealogical Museum, with an astonishing view looking down on the town and plain.
