The cabin is a light comfortable carefully designed and newly built Scandanavian style self-contained building with a complete kitchen, separate shower room and pull down Very comfortable Queen sized bed. It has a television with integral DvD player and heating under the wooden floor. Great Wi-fi, Contemporary lighting. Please note that hot water runs for 5mins very hot then takes 30 mins to reheat to same temp. Please don't change the settings as this will blow the thermostat.
The cabin is in my garden, with parking and just one minute fom the quay And it’s own private patio.. It is central to the shops and restaurants and bars in lovely Wells. Twenty minutes walk to the beach. I make sure that essentials like tea and coffee are available. The bed is made up and there are lots of towels. Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid are also ready to go! The kitchen is well equipped for two guests.
Wells is lovely. The sea when the tide is up. Early mornings, the beach. The super independent shops, the pubs, cafes and delis. The ease of living in a small town with a bank, post office and friendly neighbours!

    Kiri2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastica posizione tranquilla Piccola cabina molto bijoux. Lo consiglierei a chiunque.

    Heather2018-08-18T00:00:00Z

Ditch the car and explore Wells-next-the-Sea, staying in a stunning shepherd's hut. Cosy wood burner, deliciously comfy bed, en suite shower & WC, kitchenette, garden area, parking. Walk into town to see the working fishing boats, chic shops and fantastic restaurants. Or to the Coast Path and magical views over the salt marsh, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's become a treat to host special birthdays, anniversaries and mini-moons. COVID-19: No bookings from 23 March until next update
It has been a real labour of love to source and prepare the shepherd's hut for guests and I hope you enjoy the results. From the plants in the garden to the stylish crockery, everything is designed to create a pretty environment for you to relax in. The rural location gives you a sense of space and the hut has its own drive, parking and garden. Birds and butterflies thrive in the wooded dell, including the resident cuckoo. Sitting at the table inside, you'll see the trees silhouetted against the sunset as you eat an evening meal. In the sunny garden you can spread the day's newspapers out on the picnic bench, topping up coffee from the cafetiere. I also provide deck chairs for basking in the sun. The bed is deliciously comfortable and inviting. The en suite shower and taps have instant hot water. The wood burner is seriously effective and out of season you'll soon find that you're more than toasty. New for winter - heated towel rail in en suite! The hut is also insulated and double-glazed. We have mains water. The electricity is partially supplied by solar panel. I've found ways to provide you with nearly every comfort you'd expect in a normal self-catering property. The only differences are that heating is by the wood burner, cooking facilities are limited and there is currently no wifi or TV. However, the 4G reception is extra good (a by-product of the offshore wind farm) so you can still get online and stream videos. When there are lots of people on the campsite using their showers, the water pressure to the hut may sometimes run low, affecting the consistency of the hot water supply. Bed: Pocket sprung double bed with Cath Kidston duvet cover and hotel-quality towels, sheets and pillows. Storage for your clothes: baskets under the bed, a bespoke ottoman, lots of hooks, hangers. Dining table and chairs, digital radio, Bluetooth sound bar, kitchenette with gas camping stove, full size fridge with ice box. Door leading to en suite shower, washbasin and wc. Liquid soap, shower gel and moisturiser provided. Shelves and storage for your additional toiletries, shaving mirror. Garden: Picnic bench, garden bench, deck chairs to relax with a book and glass of wine, Weber BBQ. Parking: Designated car parking for one car. Heating: Wood burner. Also provided: Enough wood and kindling to get you started with the wood burner, gas for the camping stove and charcoal for the BBQ (more wood, gas canisters and charcoal for sale on-site), chocolate treats, milk, tea, coffee, sugar. We have no mains electricity, so the fridge and lights are powered by solar panel and leisure battery. I provide a 12v charger with various adapters so you can power your mobile etc but there is no TV, WiFi or microwave. I provide a gas-powered cordless curling tong. I used to provide a hair dryer but it was prone to trip the 12v system. Cooking: We have no oven but you can cook simple meals on the gas camping stove. Pans and cooking utensils provided. Keep the window open if you use it inside. You can also cook using the charcoal barbecue in the garden. Instructions and a couple of roasting recipes are in the guest information folder. There are also plenty of great restaurants, fish & chip shops and cafes plus good supermarkets, delis, bakery, butcher and fishmonger in Wells. Tea/coffee: Boil the kettle on the gas camping stove or wood burner. Tea, coffee, sugar provided.
Wells beach was named Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" in 2016 and it's not hard to see why. The wide open skies, the sense of freedom even on a busy summer's day, the sweep of colourful huts against the pine forest. Located one mile from the harbour, you can walk along the beach wall to get there, taking in the view of the channel lined with leisure boats and the salt marshes and sea beyond. You can also take the little narrow gauge train part-way there or there is a car park if you choose to drive. We have fantastic gastro pubs, fish & chip shops and cafes a short walk from the shepherd’s hut (I can make recommendations) and great independent retailers along Staithe Street. Or to find solitude and wildlife you don't have to walk far. Local OS map and walks books available for use by guests. Wells has a rich calendar for art and culture. Live theatre screenings with Screen-next-the-Sea, music and theatre at Holkham Hall and the annual festivals. Norwich attractions are an hour away. Sport: swimming pool at the school, sailing, tennis courts, park run at Holkham Hall, lots of great running and cycling routes on your doorstep. As well as the landscape, it's the lively community feel that makes Wells special - the historic fishing fleet landing the day’s catch on the harbour wall, the sailing club ‘sharpies’ racing out by the lifeboat shed, children ‘gillying’ for crabs, and the popular annual calendar of events, including Wells Carnival, Poetry-next-the-Sea, Wheels-next-the-Sea, the Pirate festival and the magical Christmas Tide.

The Shed: A beautifully restored, detached annexe of a large family house, comfortably sleeps 4 with secret cubby hole for a 5th person. Perfect for couples, friends, a family and foodies with Michelin* Morston Hall next door. Morston is a pretty coastal village in fashionable north Norfolk. The Anchor pub serves excellent food. Beautifully decorated south facing rooms and suntrap terrace. An idyllic rural location with off street parking, just minutes from beaches, culture, pubs and shops.
Master bedroom - south facing and spacious, kingsize bed, reading lamps and mini library, luggage bench, wall hooks and underbed storage. Bedroom 2 - comfortable built-in adult bunk beds with reading lights. An additional cubby hole sleeps the 5th person (always popular with children!). This is accessed from the top bunk - please note limited headroom here. The sofabed in sitting room offers additional flexibility. Please note the bunk room does not have a door to the corridor. A corridor links the bathroom and each bedroom to the sitting room/kitchen. The sitting room with kitchenette has a hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine with some tea and coffee provided, and table & chairs. Cooking facilities are basic but adequate for simple quick meals. There is comfortable seating with board games, freeview TV / DVD player, DVDs & books for you to enjoy during your stay. French doors lead out onto a sheltered sunny terrace with your own BBQ looking out over a pretty kitchen garden. Please note The Shed's terrace adjoins our family terrace which on the whole will not be in use while you are staying although we and our dogs do pass through regularly - see photos.
Morston is a pretty village on the north Norfolk coast with heaps to do. Daily seal trips leave from Morston Quay for Blakeney Point, a sailing/power boating school, the Anchor Inn village pub is fantastic(!), as is the michelin starred Morston Hall restaurant - booking is advisable for both in high season. The AONB and Norfolk coastal path is just minutes away for fabulous walks, the sea, sailing, birdwatching, fresh sea air and the beautiful salt marshes. Surrounding Area - Wiveton Cafe and PYO fruit farm (famous for the Normal for Norfolk TV documentary) and Blakeney village for mud-sliding and crabbing are both within easy reach by foot or bike. The sandy beaches of Wells and Holkham 5-10 mins drive. Historic houses of Holkham Hall and deer park (10 mins), Houghton Hall (wonderful outdoor sculpture in the park and walled gardens 30 mins), Binham Priory (5 mins, take a picnic, the ruins are great for hide and seek, visit to the Raw Milk shop which sells coffee, local cheese and ice cream is recommended) are all nearby. There are many other National Trust properties and other attractions to visit too. Just 10 minutes away is the Warham Iron Age fort - a must for a picnic on a sunny day. There are also plenty of historic churches to visit - Binham Priory, Cley, Salthouse, Wiveton to name but a few. A paddle in Glandford ford and visit to the tiny Shell Museum, a hidden gem (check opening times as not open every day). Walking - best walks are on the beaches of Holkham, Wells, the Wells pinewoods (great for a sheltered walk on a cold windy day), the Norfolk coastal path and Peddars Way - all within easy reach. A walk from Morston to Stiffkey (1-1.5 hour) along the coastal path followed by a pub lunch is ideal. There are golf courses, farm shops and farmers markets...the list is endless. The market towns of Holt (10 mins) and Burnham Market (20mins) and the village of Cley (5 mins) are great for shopping, cafes, fish shops, a bookshop and delis. The Spar shop in Blakeney the next village is great for essential supplies and is open until 10pm most if not every day. This really is the perfect base for enjoying and exploring the beautiful north Norfolk Coast.

Crabpot cottage is 60-seconds from Wells harbour in the heart of the town. It is a snug, 200-years old fisherman's cottage; cosy living space, gardens and parking. Wood burner, central heating, washing machine and WiFi make it ideal for short breaks or weeks away.
Crabpot cottage comprises of a relatively compact kitchen (oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge, breakfast bar table and chairs, washing machine and dish washer) opening onto the garden and a cosy lounge - with woodburner. At the top of the (steep) stairs are two double bedrooms - two single beds and a double - and a bathroom. Bedding and towels are provided. In addition to the woodburner, the cottage is fully central heated. 200-years ago people were shorter so, while there is good ceiling height, the door frames are LOW! It is a traditional self-catering holiday cottage, and the photos give a good impression of what the cottage is like. It works especially well for families or couples who want to enjoy the delights of a Norfolk rural/coastal small town and fishing port.
Wells-Next-The Sea is a bustling seaside town during the summer but becomes a quite haven during the winter months: very popular with walkers and bird watchers. The town offers numerous good places to eat, to drink and to shop! The local area offers a wide variety of scenery and other attractions.

🌈 Recently featured in an article in Norfolk Magazine as one of Norfolk's top 8 Airbnb's with the following review; “If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air you’ll love this old two-bedroomed fisherman’s cottage found just a short walk away from the shingle beach in Cley near Blakeney. The interior is whimsically decorated with lots of fun, local art on the walls. Guests talk of beautiful views across the marshland and the local deli as added perks". Also with high speed fibre optic WiFi!! ❤️
THE COTTAGE~ ⭐️Built in 1850, Mallard cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage with covered off-street parking in the heart of the village of Cley-next-the-Sea. Cley lies within the AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast.🌈 🌷The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an ensuite shower room and loo and a really good view over the reed beds of Cley. The twin bedroom is a good size and a lovely room which looks over a very pretty part of the village (photographed, as is the view from the master bedroom).😍 🧚‍♂️The family bathroom is very nice and light and is also a good size, benefitting from a double ended claw foot bath. 🍎Downstairs is a fully kitted out open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There are characterful pictures and paintings all over the walls and some books and games to choose from. 🍭The house has been refurbished to a good standard and has high speed Fibre Optic WiFi and a full range of Sky channels including Sky Sports. It also benefits from double glazing and a very good, new boiler and heating system so you should be warm and cosy all year round. The cottage is the winner of a 4 star Best of Britain self-catering award. PARKING~ 🚘There is off street parking at the property which has it's own covered parking space clearly marked 'Mallard' (photographed for scale with the listing of the cottage). The turning into the arch way is very steep and the space is tight for larger vehicles so whilst Range Rover's have been known to park there (normal sized cars are fine) drivers of large vehicles who aren't comfortable 'manoeuvring' into the off street space can find plenty of parking near by. Old Post Office Lane gives pedestrian access to the Fairstead where there is free off street parking with no restrictions. There is also the Village Hall where there is a free and large off street car park with no restrictions.
Cley-next-the-Sea is one of the prettiest villages on the North Norfolk coast. It is on the River Glaven 4 mi (6 km) north-west of Holt (3 miles) and east of Blakeney (2 miles). It lies within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast between the villages of Wiveton and Salthouse. A few suggestions of things to do in and around Cley... The Wiveton Café is a must and is now open in winter as well having previously been solely open in spring and summer. It’s about a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the cottage. Do check out their website. Artemis Cafe in Cley is always a good place from which to start a walk. turn right and right out of the cottage, it's about a 20 second walk away. They serve delicious coffee, cake, sausage rolls and salmon bagels directly behind Mallard Cottage and the famous coastal walk along the wall starts from their garden. The George in Cley does really good food, has really friendly staff and is about a two minute walk from the cottage. Picnic Fayre in Cley, less than a minute's walk from Mallard, is a fantastic deli with masses of locally sourced treats and depending on the season they serve really good homemade ice cream from a little hatch in the wall. Blakeney is about an 8 minute drive away or a beautiful hour and a bit long walk along the river wall. I never feel as if I've really had my 'Cley time' until I've done that walk. You don't need to go all the way if you're not big walkers but the look of the landscape and sky change almost hourly and and we never get bored of it. Cley beach is accessible by car (2 mins) or on foot (8-10 mins) if you turn left out of the cottage and through the village, past the windmill and you'll see signs for where to follow the path to Cley beach (also photographed with the images of the cottage). The Blakeney Hotel is probably the most 'get dressed up' place locally, although I have to admit we've never been as we never bring anything approaching the right wardrobe with us... It does look lovely and it has a good reputation and apparently stunning views. The White Horse also has a good reputation and is popular, with good food. I actually prefer the Anchor at Morston next to Blakeney. Blakeney is lovely and definitely worth a visit but it can be seriously packed with day-trippers in high season so at the risk of sounding like a snob, it's better to be a bit outside it and Cley is a much nicer place to stay... Morston and Blakeney also offer Seal trips which are really fun to do depending on the season so it's worth looking on local websites. 'Beans' seal trips is one of the companies. The Cley Smokehouse directly opposite the cottage serves amazing sea food. People travel from miles around to stock up on their crab and their fish soup so we are very lucky (it's pictured in the view from the twin room in the pics of the cottage). There are galleries and a lovely pottery and book shop in Cley, plenty of shops and galleries in Blakeney and some of the best birdwatching in Britain at Cley Spy and in Salthouse which is the next village in the other direction from Wiveton and Blakeney (turn left for Salthouse, in the same direction as you walk for the beach). There's also a great pub in Salthouse called the Dunn Cow with fantastic views across the marshes from the large garden and good food. For Bird Watchers the cutting-edge, sustainable visitor centre at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Cley Marshes Nature Reserve is a must. It has it's own café and some of the best bird watching in the country. The Coast hopper bus has bus stops in both directions from outside Picnic Fayre (about a one minute walk from the Cottage). It runs a good and regular service although personally I prefer to walk as much as possible and everything I have mentioned is walking distance, obviously depending on what you consider walking distance to be/if you have toddlers etc. The marshes around Cley are internationally important for their populations of rare breeding and visiting birds. Cley Marshes bird reserve has been in the care of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust since 1926, making it the oldest county Wildlife Trust reserve in Britain. Among resident breeding birds are Avocet, Bearded Tit, Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Spoonbill. Winter visitors include Brent Geese, Wigeon, Pintail and many species of wading birds. Cley, like neighbouring Salthouse is ideally situated at the apex of the North Norfolk coast as a staging ground for passage migrants, vagrants and rareties of all kinds. An eco-friendly visitor centre opened in 2007 containing a café, shop, viewing areas (including viewing from a camera on the reserve), exhibition area, interpretation and toilets. The view from the visitor centre across the Marsh to the sea is breathtaking. Cley Marshes is the home of the Bird Information Service, publishers of Birding World. The shingle bank holds large numbers of Yellow Horned Poppy. The Grade I listed medieval church of St Margaret's, Cley is the largest church in the Blakeney area dating from (phone number hidden) Cley was once one of the busiest ports in England, where grain, malt, fish, spices, coal, cloth, barley and oats were exported or imported. The many Flemish gables in the town are a reminder of trade with the Low Countries. Some of the buildings that once lined the quay remain, notably the 18th-century Cley Windmill which was used as a backdrop of the 1949 film Conspirator with Elizabeth Taylor. Cley Mill has often been depicted by local artists and was the subject of a painting by the 20th century English landscape artist, Rowland Hilder. In the late 19th century Cley became a holiday resort. The poet Rupert Brooke was staying in Cley when news came that Britain had entered what was to become the First World War. Brooke had dreamt about the war and woke to find it a reality. He did not speak to his hosts all day until his host said, "But Rupert, you won't have to fight?" to which Brooke replied, "We shall all have to fight". We hope you will go ahead and book! I’m sure you’ll love Cley as we do! Melissa (✿◠‿◠)

Consiglio vivamente.

  • Graziosa villetta ben arredata in ottima posizione.

Lovely little cottage for two in Blakeney near quay. Perfectly situated in centre of traditional village and near to great restaurants. The cottage has kitchen, sitting room, double bedroom with ensuite. Also private outside area
Good position near to Blakeney Point seal sanctuary. Wonderful walks. Great pubs and restaurants
Blakeney is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastal villages in England. The jewel of the Norfolk coastline it is full of traditional cottages and right on the coast, the traditional quay and mini beach are at the end of the road. The best beach in Norfolk, Holkham, is a drive of approx ten minutes along the coast. Lovely traditional seaside village with a traditional quay with boats coming and going, lovely walks along the salt marshes and coast, mini beach, great paddling, mini canoe hire for children. Crab fishing off the quay. The best beach is Holkham beach, very sandy and lots of space, sand dunes etc. This is to the left along the coastal road. Wells has a good beach as well and the village is nice for looking around. Going right along the Coast road are shingle beaches. Sheringham and Cromer. There is a pier at Cromer. Best shops are in Holt. Lovely old market town. There is a small supermarket in Blakeney within walking distance. Go down to the quay and turn left. Also a small variety of interesting shops. Places to eat within easy walking distance are two pubs child friendly, the Kings Arms and The White Horse. The Moorings for slightly more expensive meal, but they also do lunch and coffee. Two hotels that do food The Blakeney Hotel and The Manor, a lovely little cafe at the Methodist Church in the High St. for lunch and coffee, good value and children’s toys. Stately Homes to visit, Holkham Hall, Blickling and Sandringham. For a real treat Morton Hall, run by TV chef Galton Blackiston. In the summer you will find a caravan on the quay selling lovely crab sandwiches and also an ice cream shop near the quay. The harbour rooms usually have local bands at weekends. The village hall has antique fairs and there are often sales of crafts near the quay. The seal trip is a must. You can buy tickets at the bottom of the road.

Stiffkey is a pretty North Norfolk village in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We've owned our holiday cottage for 13 years and still love visiting monthly. Our cottage is a grade II listed period brick and flint cottage, retaining many original features, including beams and a steep Norfolk Winder staircase. Guests love the bespoke kitchen and dining area which opens on to the courtyard via bi-fold doors. Initially you'll liaise with me but, once in, our property manager is local.
The dining area is light and airy and opens into the south-facing gravel courtyard which is great on a summer's evening. The lounge has a log burner so is cosy of a winter's evening. The cottage is newly carpeted and decorated (2019). The bathroom is downstairs and both bedrooms are upstairs, via a traditional steep Norfolk Winder staircase.
Our cottage is a 1 minute walk from the delightful Stiffkey Stores which serves great coffee and croissant/cake. It also sells lots of lovely things you don't necessarily need but would like anyway. The Red Lion is a 5 minute walk away and the coastal path/Stiffkey marshes are 1/2 mile from the cottage, via the cricket pitch and children's small play ground.

Located in the delightful village of Stiffkey, within walking to the Red Lion pub and marshes. The property backs onto open farmland with views of the sea, it’s a fantastic spot to enjoy Norfolk’s countryside! WiFi is available throughout the property. Parking is available on site.
Marsh End is a 1-bedroom cottage attached to a family home. The accommodation features a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and W/C and a comfortable open plan kitchen and living area. The well-equipped kitchen features an oven, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and kitchenware. There is a dining table for 2 and a cosy lounge with flat screen television.
Stiffkey is a quaint village located a 10-minute drive outside of Wells-next-the-Sea. It forms part of Blakeney National Nature Reserve and is known for its picturesque views and its marshes. The village is set along the Norfolk Coastal Path, a long distance footpath running 62.5 miles from Hunstanton to Sea Palling. At the heart of the village you will find the Red Lion Pub serving locally sourced food and Stiffkey Stores with it’s own lovely coffee and cake shop with outside seating as well as a fabulous retro gift shop. Accessible directly from the gate in the garden is the public bridleway, turning right will take you on a 5 minute walk to Stiffkey Marshes and the coastal path or you can turn left to head to the village shop and the Red Lion Pub, all whilst avoiding the road! From the coastal path it is a 4 miles walk to Wells-next-the-Sea of 3 miles to Morston and Blakeney.

  • Ottimo soggiorno- tutto come previsto.

My place is close to family-friendly activities and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the light, and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
There is one main living space with a corner sofa and dining table. Off this you will find the bathroom and kitchen. At the top of the stairs the master bedroom is found on the right and turn left into the second bedroom.

Fantastic reviews for this sunny, warm room in charming brick and flint barn conversion in private setting in the wonderful village of Stiffkey. Very private, comfortable newly decorated king size bedroom, ensuite with tea/coffee making facilities, small fridge and own entrance and boot room. Near Stiffkey Salt Marshes, and quirky Stiffkey Stores (wonderful coffee, croissants, best chocolate brownies in Norfolk, newspapers, post office) and Red Lion Pub (cooked breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Once you confirm your booking, the address, directions, check in instructions, house manual and access details etc are all on this site under 'guest resources'. Please ensure you download them to find your way as we often have problems with signals on the coast road. This is a double bedroom with Kingsize double bed and brand new ensuite shower room. Chest of drawers and hanging hooks for clothes. There is a small fridge for milk and breakfast items. We offer complimentary tea, coffee, juice, bread, butter, marmalade, biscuits, cereal and milk. There are 2 chairs in the room and freeview satellite television (weather permitting). There is a cosy duvet for the chilly winter months although we are complimented on the warmth and comfort of the room. Towels are bath sheet size and we supply one bath robe. Sorry we cannot accept dogs or other pets and this includes leaving them in cars on our drive!
The wonderful Stiffkey village is extremely friendly, the local Red Lion pub gets reasonable reviews for pub food and walks across the saltmarshes to the beach are a delight although get very muddy in winter. We are situated between Blakeney which is worth a visit for walking, two good pubs, a restaurant and a Deli and coffee at Grey Seal Coffee, and the town of Wells-next-the sea with its glorious beach, quirky shops and eclectic mix of restaurants including The The Crab House on the sea front. You can book seal trips from Morston all year round and dine at The Anchor Inn or drive 3 miles to The Carpenters Arms at Wighton , The Three Horseshoes at Warham, enjoy Sunday lunch at the amazing Wiveton Bell or treat yourself to The Crab House in Wells for fabulous seafood. 8 miles North is the Georgian town of Holt (take the steam train from Sherringham) which provides great shopping especially at Christmas and The Folly tearoom is great for afternoon tea (must book). There is so much to do here it is worth planning and doing your homework in advance. Holkham, Felbrigg and Blickling Halls are great to visit when the weather is wet.

Oystercatcher is a charming, traditional two bedroom Norfolk fisherman’s cottage situated on the High Street just a short stroll from Blakeney Quay and all of the village amenities. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life this property has been recently updated and now has all of the modern requirements required whilst retaining every bit of its coastal cottage charm.
Upon entering the cottage in to a long entrance hallway you will find the living room on your right with a lovely, comfy sofa, and arm chair perfect for snuggling up in front of the gorgeous wood burning stove. In the corner is a dining table that will comfortably seat four. Neutrally decorated and opened up to the kitchen, this room feels very light, airy and welcoming. From the living room, down a small step is the traditional, small but well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen is tastefully decorated and allows access back through to the entrance hall off which is the ground floor shower room and the door out to the wonderful enclosed courtyard garden which has a pretty table and chairs set, perfect for sitting and sipping a glass of wine on a warm sunny evening. Back inside and to the front of the house is the good sized double bedroom. Up the original, steep ‘Norfolk Winder’ cottage stairs from the sitting room is the large twin bedroom which looks out over the high street. This room has a good sized en-suite bathroom. There is a pull out bed that we can set up in the upstairs twin bedroom to sleep 3 guests. Extra charge applies.
Surrounding area Blakeney must be one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by The National Trust, is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners’ and merchants’ houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flint walled alleyways. The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a surprisingly wide selection of shops, public houses and hotels. A wider range of amenities can be found in the Georgian town of Holt, about 5 miles to the south.

Fo’c'sle is a delightful detached timber clad retreat, located in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside just a short drive to the coast and one of North Norfolk's best restaurants, the Wiveton Bell, making it ideal for couples to both relax and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Fo’c’sle, (pronounced Folksall), is an old fashioned word for forward castle, the part of a ship with the sailors' living quarters. Set in the heart of the glaven valley, you don’t have to worry about the sea conditions to enjoy this peaceful hideaway!. Attractively furnished with many of the finishing touches coming from the local potttery/gallery “Made in Cley”, the open-plan ground floor offers a well-equipped compact kitchen, a bright kitchen/dining area with double doors opening into the private courtyard and a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove. On the first floor you are greeted with a large bedroom with picture window providing lovely views over the church and valley and a comfy king-size bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is looked after by the owners who live next door, who can give great tips on what to do and where to go in the local area. Nestled between the coastal villages of Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton is an ideal location to enjoy the beauty of the glaven valley with its wildlife, birdlife and walking opportunities, whilst being located just one mile south of the coast road. There is an excellent bus service operating along the A149 coast road, the 'Coasthopper' which is great for walkers in that the bus route shadows the Norfolk coast path. This enables one way walks to be undertaken with relative ease and is a great way of visiting the coastal villages without the need to use your car. The Wiveton Downs is a registered "Dark Skies" site where it is possible to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, and this area of the UK boasts some of the darkest skies in the country being that it is unaffected by light pollution and so making it ideal for star gazing. Additional Information Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Unfortunately this property is not suitable for infants or children. The bed has synthetic bedding. Logs are provided for the wood burning stove. Ground Floor: Sitting room Ample comfortable seating, wood burning stove, flat screen television with Freeview and a DVD player. Kitchen A well equipped kitchen with slimline dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob with cooker hood over, under counter fridge with a freezer ice box. Dining room Dining table with seating for two guests and double french doors leading into the courtyard garden. Cloakroom Wash basin and WC. First Floor: Master bedroom A lovely bright room with king-size bed and a large picture window with views over the glaven valley and neighbouring property. En-suite shower room Walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Outside: There is a west facing courtyard with terrace and lawn area, with ample garden furniture. Please note the the courtyard is not secure for dogs. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage.

A cool and contemporary conversion of an old boathouse with a pretty courtyard garden and parking, just a short walk from Wells quay and the centre of this bustling little seaside town. This stylish hideaway, a favourite with our guests, is set in a quiet and peaceful location yet is only a short walk to all the pubs, restaurants and shops. Although small in size, this 'cute as a button' property delivers in bucket loads. With quality fixtures and fittings throughout and a stylish vibe, this little gem is a great place to stay all-year round. With most of the accommodation on the first floor, you have the added benefit of a parking space for a medium sized vehicle in the garage beneath the living area - a rarity in Wells! This bijou detached property allows couples to enjoy plenty of privacy too, with a pretty sheltered courtyard garden to the rear, which is ideal for enjoying a morning coffee and reading the newspaper or dining alfresco on warmer days. Additional Information Sorry no pets. Sorry, no children. Although there is a garage, it is only possible to park a medium-size family car inside the garage due to the narrow road. Larger/estate cars will have difficulty accessing due to the lack of turning space. Please note that the walkway to the side of the property which provides access is narrow. Ground Floor: Entrance hall With limestone flooring and stairs leading to first floor. Shower room Shower, wash basin and WC Utility room/garage Utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. First Floor: Open plan living area Living area Light and airy room with oak flooring, velux windows and french doors onto a Juliette style balcony. Sofa, television with FreeSat and DVD player, CD player/iPod dock unit. Kitchen area Two ring hob, oven, fridge (freezer is located in the utility area/garage), microwave, butcher's style block for food preparation, dining table and seating for two. Bedroom area Divided from main living area by wall that stretches 3/4's of the way across the studio area, this area has a double bed and bedside tables and hanging space. Outside: To the rear of the property there is a pretty courtyard garden with paved area and a table and seating for two, plus a barbecue. The garage will only accommodate one medium size car due to the narrow street in front of the garage and turning area.

Perfect for couples or small groups the property has been furnished to the highest standard. This spacious retreat is perfect for couples or a family of three wishing to relax and enjoy the natural wonders of North Norfolk as well as Blakeney’s traditional pubs, restaurants and boutique stores.

You will also find a cast iron wood burning stove, comfortable dining table and sofa as well as a bookcase filled with a collection of good reading material. The newly fitted integrated kitchen brings the cottage up to date consisting of a Bosch electric oven with halogen hob, fridge, washing machine, Russell Hobbs appliances, wooden work tops and quarry tiles. The large modern bathroom includes a full sized bath and superb ‘rain style’ shower head as well as under floor heating. Leading from the sitting room you will find an easily accessible wide staircase which takes you onto a hallway where the bedrooms are accessed. Bedroom one is a beautifully decorated dual aspect double bedroom with coastal views over neighbouring rooftops and also has a cast iron fireplace. Bedroom two is a lovely single bedroom providing comfortable accommodation for children or adults. Outside, this beautiful cottage benefits from a small outbuilding to store and dry wetsuits, bikes, crabbing gear, fishing rods, wellington boots or other such items. Sitting at the end of one of the prettiest lokes in the stunning and well maintained desirable coastal village of Blakeney, 55 High Street is perfectly situated to visit all year round. For those who love walking or bird watching, the cottage provides easy access to the famous coastal path and salt marshes as well as the famous Quayside. For foodies or those simply seeking pure relaxation, the cottage is surrounded by traditional pubs, restaurants and delicatessen of this historic North Norfolk village. We are eager to make sure everything is done to make your stay in our cottage as enjoyable as possible. We own and manage this property from our base in the neighbouring village of Stiffkey so we will be on hand to offer any help or advice you may need. Outside and garden To the front of the property there is lovely antique bench with a beautiful table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine with a glass of wine or fresh coffee from the local delicatessen. Testimonial: Alan & Jill from Derbyshire - Really lovely cottage. Great location. Perfect for our needs. The only regret is that we could not stay longer. We will certainly return, it is just a matter of when!

Set in 1.4 acres with views across the valley, a short walk to the marshes and an even shorter walk to the pub. Kitchen, 1 bed with en suite a family bathroom. bbq outdoor(bring charcoal) sun loungers(x2), outdoor decking to enjoy the view from. The pub serves breakfast, lobster, mussels(if there’s an R in the month), as well as good pub food with a good selection of real ales. Washing machine, fire(wood available at stiffkey stores- a short walk), electric heating.
The entire 1.4 acres and the huge view!
TO GET TO BEACH: turn right down main road and crossover down the footpath opposite the pub(very nice walk beside the river), this will come out further down the road. Cross over 100m further on and follow the side road north to the marshes, wildlife, and the beach(which is another good walk). Also Stifkey stores left down the road. The red lion pub serves good breakfasts. TO GET TO MY FAV SPOT: turn left out of drive and go 200m then turn left up a track past cricket club through fields and a wood which pops out next to a sand lined river - great for a swim which warms up in the summer, also walk the river to to even more sandy beaches...

A truly special hideaway in a unique location within the walls of Holkham Park. The characterful, timber barn dates from 1880 and has been sympathetically renovated to provide a spacious, stylish and comfortable studio room with en suite shower, wood burning stove and garden. Within easy waking distance of Holkham Village, beach and NNR and the picturesque town of Wells-next-the-Sea. Continental style breakfast included. 3 night min stay July and August. 2 night minimum at all other times.
Large studio room with en suite shower room located inside the walls of Holkham Park - a truly unique location. Located in the garden of the owners home and surrounded by woods the sound of owls at night is common! Ideal for those seeking peace and tranquillity far from the madding crowds. Beaches and Holkham NNR within short walking distance as are several good pubs and restaurants and the town of Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Village. It is a short stroll through woods and parkland to Holkham Hall.
Wells next the Sea is a charming and popular coastal fishing port on the north Norfolk coast and within short walking distance of the barn. The renowned Holkham National Nature Reserve is also a short walk and there are 4000 acres of parkland to cycle or walk through on the doorstep. It is a great place to relax and unwind - quite in the winter months and though the town gets very busy in July and August, the barn is secluded and far from the madding crowds!
