Quarry Cottage is ideal for two adults ( no children ) visiting Northumberland and Durham. One small pet welcome. Please note....We also have the Barn next door, new for 2018. Property reference..... "Quarry Barn is a Luxury Barn Conversion" great views and super location. Both Cottage and Barn are just inside Northumberland.
Our cottage is detached from the main residence. One small well behaved dog welcome. Not suitable for infants only two adults. No WiFi through modem but 3g and 4g work well on your phone. The stairs are steep but manageable.

  • Siamo appena tornati a casa dopo aver trascorso 4 notti al Quarry Cottage. È un bel piccolo cottage in una zona pittoresca della campagna. Le recensioni semplicemente non lo fanno giustizia. Il cottage è accogliente, caldo e arredato in modo semplice ma affascinante. Era anche meraviglioso poter sedere davanti al bruciatore di birra durante la notte e rilassarsi. La camera da letto soppalco era un bel tocco, rendendo il cottage piacevole e arioso. È ben attrezzata e senza dubbio, è il letto più comodo in cui abbiamo mai dormito. Abbiamo ricevuto un caloroso benvenuto da Michael, che ci ha consigliato sui posti migliori da visitare, così come dove mangiare. Le sue raccomandazioni non hanno deluso. I cieli scuri sono stupefacenti, siamo riusciti a due notti limpide, vedere la Via Lattea direttamente sotto la testa era mozzafiato. La passeggiata fino al ponte di Shotley lungo le rive del fiume Derwent è anche un piccolo gioiello. Certamente desideriamo pianificare una visita di ritorno.

    Welcome to our light modern airy flat, enjoy staying in a nice space where nearly everything in new. Its clean comfortable & we will give you all the information you need via email. Ideal for visiting Newcastle (10 min bus ride ) You are hiring one room, there is another also available unless it has already booked by another airbnb guest( the whole flat is available too). It is a quiet residential street in the west end of Newcastle.
    Please note we have moved out of this flat & other airbnb guests might have hired the other room. The whole flat is also available to hire. The room to rent is a tidy spacious clean room with double bed.( we can host a 3rd guest if you check with us for additional £20 they get a blow up mattress on the floor, any additional must be agreed & discussed in advance.) 2 Bedside tables. Desk & bedside lamp, size wise it is 12' by 14' foot ish. It has a large window and is fully carpeted.There is a phone to call home & a TV in the bedroom with an amazon firestick and dvd player. Large wardrobes & a mirror. We are close to (10mins) central station, the airport,the arena. And we are beside St James park (4 mins) Use of internet, kitchen,washing machine,dryer,iron, Large flat screen TV in lounge, garden, use of FREE private drive parking , all available at no extra cost. The living room and kitchen are open plan with a new wooden style laminate floor. The bedrooms have a cozy beige carpet. The bathroom is new and has a power shower and is fully tiled. During your stay we would be more than happy to email you info on the best places to eat/visit/drink, we also sometimes have a discount card available to you so you can go out and get great prices at various places. There are maps and takeaway menus in the flat ready for your arrival. Fenham is a very friendly neighbourhood and we have great neibours, there is a large supermarket with a 2 min walk and a range of smaller shops and takaways there also. There is a huge number of bus stops within a 2 minute walk also which can take you directly to town within 10-15 minutes. Special events and occasion : I am happy to organise gifts, baloons, wine, champagne, book you into a local restaurant, where we can help we will. Our place is unique because its,smart, clean, tidy, modern & 10 minutes to the City Centre.     This neighborhood is super friendly I know all my neighbours .Its a lovely friendly typical northern street. We are 2 minutes from the supermarket & a range of local shops including a hairdressers, 3 takeaways, an Italian restaurant & one of the best fish and chip shops in the north east.

    Located 3 miles off the A68 and within easy drive from all major networks (A69/A1). The setting is very rural however and you will feel like you have escaped the crowds. Ten minute drive into nearby Hexham of eight into Corbridge.

    (Dogs must be pre agreed and is an additional £20 per pet, per stay). Garden Cottage is a quaint and tranquil barn conversion, located in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland Countryside. The cottage boasts beautiful views near and far. The cottage has many windows which takes great advantage of the beautiful surroundings, looking on to the peaceful country views, court yard and paddocks. We also have an occasional barn owl.
    WE ARE VERY RURAL WITH NO COVID-19 REPORTS IN THE AREA. Due to the low price I do not offer tea and coffee however, I do supply bare essentials and a few additional extras such as: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet roll, washing liquid as well as towels etc. I don’t supply oil in the kitchen. Garden Cottage offers something for everyone, whether it is a romantic break, business or for walking/cycling. The living, landing area and sleeping areas are very spacious and clean as well as a large garden to relax in on those sunny days. There is a sofa bed in the bedroom upstairs, which will sleep 2 people. Note: the sofa bed is a little smaller than a double bed. A small warning: The bathroom is very small, consisting of a toilet, sink and walk in shower (wet room). There is no bath. The bathroom has a glass door, which has an opaque covering and is to the side of the kitchen. The heating is turned off in the cottage during May - October. The heating will be turned on in circumstances where it is unusually cold. It's important that guests are comfortable at all times. The garden is shared. With the garden to the left belonging to the cottage and the garden on the right (containing the summer house) belonging to the farm house. As a rule and for optimum privacy, it is rare that we use the garden when we have guests, but we may use the double gates to the side of the farm house, from time to time. Whilst I allow children and infants, I don’t have any specific supplies for children and infants. For example; baby gate, changing area, cot, high chair etc
    Garden Cottage is situated in the middle of country side, but within easy reach of the A68 for anyone wanting to go on any expeditions by car! There are many public footpaths to take advantage of, as well as the beautiful garden and stunning views at the Cottage itself. There are many places to visit in the surrounding areas so it is advised that guests wanting to explore should spend more than one night at our cottage. Discovering the historical landmarks at Beamish Hexham Hadrians Wall Northumberlandia Derwent walk Derwent reservoir Slaley forest Blanchland medieval village Corbridge A secure store can be provided for anyone who would like to bring a bike however, guests use our storage facilities at their own risk. The owners of Garden Cottage take no responsibility for any losses or damage whilst using our storage facilities. There are also some lovely local pubs, including the Manor House Inn, which is only 2 miles from the Cottage. This can also be accessed on foot. Travelling further afield, the Anchor Inn is also a good quality, local pub. The Manor House Inn is popular so be sure to book in advance if you’re planning to eat at the Manor House Inn. Visiting Wheelbirks ice cream parlour is also a must for some traditional pub grub as well as freshly made, decadent ice cream! The farm is approximately 15 minutes away from Garden Cottage. If you are wanting a spa day to fully relax, you can visit Slaley hall where you can book yourself In to a spa day! They also have golf!

    We are 3 miles from the historic village of Corbridge with its great shops, pubs and restaurants, one and a half miles from Hadrian's Wall, 20 minutes from airport and 25 minutes from Newcastle. This is a newly refurbished old stable which is a cosy hideaway in the Tyne Valley. Extensive walks are available on this working farm. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and dogs (sorry, no cats). Sadly owing to recent experiences we now need to charge £5 per dog per night.

    Quarry Barn is situated in area of outstanding natural beauty with great views from all windows. The Barn is detached and has it's own parking area ensuring you have some privacy which includes a seating area in the sun trap! The Barn is open plan and has a modern airy but cosy atmosphere. The Barn includes everything to enjoy that home from home feeling.Good Shops,Pubs, Eateries are all within a couple of miles and we are well placed for venturing further afield to enjoy the cultural aspects.
    The Barn is detachd and ideal for two adults. Has its own private parking and entrance. Includes a seating area with great views for those sunny days.
    If you like to be away from it all but not far from pubs, restaurants, countryside and cultural visits,it's all here. We also have Quarry Cottage which is detached with it's own parking area and includes a wood burner. Both Barn and Cottage are just inside Northumberland and form a great base for touring.

  • Il "fienile" è una casa perfetta da casa. Tutto è stato pensato ed è stato equipaggiato con specifiche molto elevate. Siamo venuti in cerca di un weekend tranquillo e accogliente e l'abbiamo trovato! Il letto era molto comodo, la cucina aveva tutto ciò che volevamo poter cucinare e la posizione è bellissima.   • Siamo stati al Quarry Barn per un weekend tranquillo lontano e non siamo rimasti delusi nel minimo, dal momento in cui abbiamo prenotato la proprietà fino al momento in cui siamo partiti dopo un weekend meraviglioso. Michael e June sono padroni di casa fantastici e nulla è stato dimenticato - il fienile ha tutto il necessario per un paio di giorni meravigliosi, da un comodo letto king size a una doccia di lusso, ad una bella cucina completa di stoviglie e tè e caffè. Giugno è arrivato anche con una bottiglia di prosecco in omaggio per essere stati i primi ospiti a soggiornare nella stalla! È in una posizione tranquilla e rurale per tutta la pace e la tranquillità che è necessario ricaricare da una vita frenetica. Tuttavia, il fienile gode di una posizione eccellente per spostarsi nella regione, comprese le discese fino ad Alnwick, Newcastle, Durham e la costa del Northumberland. Il fienile era caldo e confortevole, perfetto per un fine settimana tranquillo, e viene fornito con una selezione di libri e DVD. Ritorneremo sicuramente!

    Hipp house is located on a quiet street in the heart of Corbridge, a charming historic village on Hadrian's Wall, with a Roman fort. There are many amenities within 8 mins walk. A separate studio connected to the main house via the family kitchen. The space has two bedrooms and bathroom in one section and a snug room with fire in the other. This sunny space is surrounded by beautiful gardens. With it's cosy, cottage feel and log burning stove, you have the perfect hideaway retreat.

Bedroom two is a separate room located next to bedroom one. It has a set of bunk beds (full size). These could be used by adults but are probably better for children. Breakfast is cereal and toast, tea and coffee served in the breakfast room. This is included in the price. The two rooms are never rented out separately. Separate access to and from the property to allow for privacy.

    Private quiet double glazed centrally heated cabin on a farm in the Northumberland countryside. Plenty of parking. Great for travellers, walkers, cyclists. Handy for airport [Newcastle airport 15 mins drive] and ferry. One lovely country pub which is a seafood restaurant serving good food. Close to country walks and tourist attractions, Ponteland Village, Metro into Newcastle, main road to and from Scotland. Golf courses close by.
    This is a new up todate modern self contained cabin/caravan. Open plan lounge and kitchen, two bedrooms [one has en-suite] a bathroom with toilet and shower. Host happy to dry wet clothing or let guest use washing machine. Clothes line available. An Office space available in spare room for long term let.
    Set in private garden on private Arable farm. We are the end of a single track quiet road. Very quiet in winter.

  • Che fantastico soggiorno abbiamo avuto a casa di Del. Siamo rimasti così colpiti dalle strutture della roulotte statica - le camere da letto erano ben arredate e molto confortevoli, la zona giorno era super rilassante, e il giardino e il parco erano tranquilli e così perfetti. Del è stata una padrona di casa molto comunicativa e premurosa - ci ha lasciato alcune uova appena deposte dalle galline per la nostra colazione, ed è stata così gentile e disponibile quando stavamo programmando dove visitare. L'unico inconveniente che abbiamo riscontrato è che la nostra pausa è finita troppo in fretta - una notte non è abbastanza! Grazie ancora.

  • Un vero gioiello! Abbiamo trovato il posto di Del come prenotazione last minute durante il viaggio. Del è delizioso e non potrebbe fare abbastanza per noi. Ha una fattoria occupata ma non lo sapresti, nel modo in cui si è assicurata che fossimo completamente a nostro agio. C'erano uova fresche di fattoria e piccole prelibatezze speciali per noi - molto più del previsto per il prezzo. E soprattutto il letto era comodo e tutto era perfettamente pulito e circondato da un grazioso giardino tranquillo. Il miglior bnb che abbiamo mai provato!

    Very Large Double Room (20x12 feet) with an en-suite, newly fitted bathroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. Bright, clean, airy with a great mattress and bedding. Contains a large table for a laptop. Very luxurious. This room is on its own floor.
    The accommodation is 1 minute away from the Asda, Iceland and Lidl supermarkets. There are a few fast food/take away places 1 minute say from the property as well. 30 seconds away are two bus routes into the Newcastle city center.

    Heddon Hideaway at Heddon on the Wall in Northumberland in the North East of England. 5 minutes walk from the Hadrians Wall Path (National Trail). Twin-bedded self contained accommodation.
    The accommodation is  a brick-built, cosy self-contained apartment (converted from outbuilding) with it's own front door, it comprises of a twin bedroom and en-suite shower room with central heating, hot water, TV and tea making facilities. You get comfortable beds, powerful shower, small indoor and larger outdoor seating areas, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Sorry we are not serving breakfast in the house at the moment as we are working during the week and leave early, but there are alternatives and if you’re really stuck we can sort something out—just ask!  Breakfast The Dell (Café/Restaurant), open 9am Mon, 10am Sun. Evening meals There are 2 pubs in the village which serve meals: The Swan (Pub/Restaurant) and The Three Tuns (Pub that serves meals). There is also The Dell (Café/Restaurant) - open until 5pm Mon-Wed , 9pm Thu-Sat , 4pm Sun). Food supplies The Spar minimarket at the petrol station is open from 7am—9pm daily.
    The village of Heddon on the Wall is about 15 miles West of Wallsend and 16 miles East of Chollerford ideal for anyone walking Hadrian's Wall. Heddon is a village of around 1, 500 people, just off the A69 dual carriageway, there is a petrol station with a Spar general store, two pub's - The Three Tuns and The Swan - as well as The Dingle Dell (deli/cafe/tearoom/bistro).

Ci sono due comodi letti singoli in una stanza e un bagno / salotto nell'altra con una doccia decente. È compatto ma caldo e confortevole. Ho soggiornato per tre notti e l'ho usato come base per camminare sul muro. Sebbene nuovo per Airbnb, John ha gestito un B & B negli ultimi anni e non avrebbe potuto essere più cordiale e disponibile. Ottima colazione anche. Altamente raccomandato.

    Riding Hills Farm is a cosy, attractive and well equipped one bedroomed cottage situated in one of the prettiest and most interesting parts of Northumberland. Within two miles of the historic town of Corbridge, this comfortable cottage is tucked away in a rural location with stunning views over the Tyne Valley. Despite its rural setting it is close to some excellent pubs and restaurants, and the market town of Hexham.
    The cottage is attached to our farmhouse with a private entrance and enclosed garden, and is situated in just under an acre of grounds with many excellent walks and places to visit nearby. We are close to several key Roman sites in the area including Corstopitum and Hadrian’s Wall. Newcastle is 18 miles away and the stunning Northumberland coastline is only a little further.
    Our cottage is situated above the beautiful Tyne Valley, and from your garden there are stunning views to enjoy over an alfresco lunch or evening drink. The enclosed garden is exclusively for the use of our guests and you are free to help yourselves to any garden produce in season including raspberries, blackcurrants and rhubarb. Our nearest village, Corbridge, has a multitude of lovely cafes and interesting shops to explore, not to mention several very good pubs and restaurants, all of which are listed in our cottage guide along with much other useful information.

    Lovely double room (with the most comfortable bed) in a modern new build house in a quiet culdesac. Situated near to the A1, A69 & central motorway, it’s an ideal spot for easy access to the city centre but also the beautiful countryside. 8 minutes from Newcastle airport. Owner resides in the home however has an en-suite so guests will have full use of the bathroom and privacy whilst they stay. A very sociable and friendly host who will share knowledge and information about the North East.
    Guests have access to their own room, bathroom, kitchen, utility room, living room as well as the garden. There is a lovely Italian restaurant within a short walking distance that has great 3 course meal specials. The city centre is an 8-10 minute drive with lots to see and do!
    The neighbourhood is quiet, with helpful and friendly neighbours. It is so handy for all the major roads in and out of Newcastle as well as being close to the airport ( not on a flight path). Lovely, reasonably priced Italian restaurant at the entrance to the estate which is very popular. The property is ideally situated to explore, Newcastle and Northumberland.

Horsley has a great gastro pub, art gallery & lovely cafe. Other places to visit include the Northumberland coast eg. Bamburgh & Holy Island. Great location for Golfers, walkers and peace & quiet!
    The Rose Suite is an annex attached to our home which is a beautiful converted victorian stone barn built around 1830. Your accommodation has its own entrance. Once inside you have access to the double bedroom (with king size bed), TV with Freeview, dressing table, en-suite wet room with electric shower, sink, toilet and small kitchen area. In the kitchenette we have a small fridge, microwave, kettle, solid oak breakfast bar and 2 stools, toaster, utensils, tea, coffee, juice, pastries and cereal's. If you prefer a full English breakfast can be purchased at the Hearth Cafe in the village. Please note there is no cooker in the kitchenette. The cooking facilities are just the microwave to heat ready made meals. The large en-suite wet room contains an electric shower, sink and toilet. Towels, shampoo and conditioner provided. We have secure storage space for bikes if needed. Please note the accommodation is not an apartment (it is just a bedroom, en-suite and small kitchenette) with its own private entrance). Photos show you exactly what we provide.
    The neighbourhood is in a beautiful location and is a real attraction for walkers, cyclists, art lovers and those who like relaxing in cafe's and pubs. There is a quaint country pub and cafe in the village. Horsley is within easy reach of Newcastle, Hadrians Wall, Close House, The ancient town of Corbridge and Hexham. Other places to visit include Langley Castle (18 miles away), Kielder Forrest and observatory (24 miles) and The Metrocentre Shopping Mall one of the largest in Europe (10 miles away). Horsley is also within easy drive away from the beautiful Northumberland coast e.g. Bamburgh 56 miles) and Holy Island (66 miles).

    Cosy, vibrant, relaxing private bedroom located in the heart of Chopwell. Both me and my house mate live here, we both work so may be out of the house most times. Everyone is welcome to stay, we look forward to meeting you :)
    Full access to the kitchen where guests are welcome to cook and take advantage of the facilities that are available, such as cooker, washing machine, dryer, pots/ pans. Bathroom contains large mirror covering one side of the wall, perfect for those who love to take selfies, there is also access to a hot shower, surrounded by tropical plant. Guests can also enjoy the seating area available located on the second floor, great for relaxing! Bedroom contains fresh towels, a fan heater, mirror, and a hot water bottle, a place to hang belongings, chest of draws FREE WIFI!
    A Co-op supermarket is just a 10 minute walk away. Three nearby take away shops including chinese and pizza. Bus links to Newcastle city center X47 Chopwell woods is next door for peaceful woodland walks and bike rides.

    A quiet two bed semi in a small village, located high up on the Eastern edge of the Pennines. The house is light and airy with large windows. The gardens are wildlife havens with ponds used by native amphibians and native wild flowers for the bees and butterflies. In the summer you can relax on the decking under the canopy where a hammock is waiting for the ultimate chill out. A wood burning stove in the living room makes it cosy during the Winter months.
    As a horticulturist and conservationist I have created a garden rich in biodiversity. Shunning most exotic species the gardens front & back are filled with native wild flowers, shrubs and wildlife. Insects enjoy the varied plant life and amphibians court and breed in the ponds. All three native newt species can be seen as well as frogs. Birds visit the ponds to bathe and drink as well as forage for food among the plant life. There are hedgehogs, bats & owls to be seen and heard. The decking to the rear is a great place to relax and unwind. The canopy overhead means you can still sit out in the rain. I also hang a hammock over the decking during the warmer months and its a great place to spend time watching the wildlife or just to drift off to sleep. The guest bedroom overlooks the back garden and the long gardens mean the houses opposite are over 50 metres away. Beyond the rooftops are the trees of the plantation which you can explore. The plantation wraps around the Southern edge of the village from end to end. The guest room has plenty of wardrobe space as well as drawers and a good tall mirror. The bathroom is right next to the bedroom and has a sink, toilet and shower cubicle. The water pressure is really strong here so showers are a delight. You can make yourself at home in the kitchen to prepare your own meals should you wish. There is an electric cooker with four ring hob, grill and oven. You'll also find a kettle, toaster and most importantly a dish washer. Huzzah! In the dining area the large pine table is ideally situated so you can enjoy a view out onto the back garden. A wood burning stove in the living area is great should you require a bit of a comfort boost on chilly nights. With kindling, logs and paper on hand. Curl up on the sofa or in one of the large armchairs with a cuppa and a good book while the fire keeps you toasty and warm.
    Burnopfield is surrounded by excellent walking & cycling routes. The C2C route 7 runs at the bottom of the valley as well as the Bowes railway line which cuts through the woods at the top of the street. Tanfield railway and Causey Arch are also close by. A regular steam train runs along the 3 mile track and you can take a pleasant walk through the woods and cross the worlds first purpose built railway bridge. A 5 minute walk in almost any direction from the house will have you in open peaceful countryside. As well as all that we have major attractions like Gibside, a National Trust property at the bottom of the hill, is a 2 minute drive. Famed for its wildlife and SSSI parkland landscape it was home to the Bowes Lyon family and was a favourite spot of the late Queen Mother. Award winning Beamish open air museum is 15 minutes drive. Allow a good full day to take it all in. 10 minutes away is The Metro Centre for all your indoor shopping needs, it also has a cinema as well as a host of independent and franchise eateries. Historic market towns like Morpeth, Hexham and Durham are just a short drive away. Buses from Burnopfield high street to Newcastle, the Metro Centre and Gateshead are frequent. Shops in the village include three general stores, a bakers/sandwich shop, holistic beauty salons, hairdressers and several takeaways. Two of the pubs offer some great live music and one does food. There are three golf courses all within a few minutes drive and other pubs as well as cafes offering good food and drink. Down below in Rowlands Gill is a small Tesco as well as a cafe, pet food store and florists. Two small restaurants Italian & Chinese and a gym. Above us in The Hobson is another pub and a small coffee shop The Joinery. Within the industrial estate is another gym. Further afield you can drive within 20 minutes to the North Pennines AONB and explore the rugged countryside of Weardale and Teesdale. Some enchanting villages and breath taking scenery mixed with historic ruins from the expansive mining history. Natural beauty surrounds you such as Derwent reservoir, High Force and Hannahs Meadow. Plant hunters will enjoy finding the hidden gems of the Teesdale Assemblage. Distinct and rare plant species left from the last ice age, most of which are found nowhere else in the UK. For history buffs the newly opened Land of Oak and Iron visitor centre and cafe is along the valley. You can find out about the local mining history and maps show a variety of walks.

    Comfortable and cosy double room with en-suite that faces out onto the garden. Our house is in a quiet cul-de-sac so you won't be troubled by traffic noise. You can park directly outside the front door. We're happy to get anything in for your breakfast and we message you before you arrive asking what you'd like so we can make a dash to the supermarket to get it. Don't worry if you don't want anything but a cuppa - that is fine. Check out is at 10am, but we're flexible.
    Comfy double bed with freshly washed and pressed bedding. Extra blankets can be provided, but this house is pretty warm. Hang your clothes in the wardrobe or place in the chest of drawers. If you need an iron/ironing board please just ask. Shower in your own private en-suite. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and fresh towels are provided. A hair dryer can be provided. There's a large free standing mirror in the room. There are plenty of sockets for charging your mobile devices and you'll have access to WiFi. We'll show you around the kitchen where you are more than welcome to make hot drinks or cook a meal for yourself.
    Mill Vale is a really quiet estate so you'll be able to grab some peace and quiet. We're very close to both the A1 and A69 and only a 20 minute drive to Newcaste City Centre (traffic dependent!). Newcastle Airport is only 6 miles (15 minutes) away. Newcastle Metrocentre is 4.2 miles (13 minutes) away. The Tyne Riverside Country Park is close enough for a pleasant evening stroll. There are some fantastic running/walking/cycling tracks around here. We're minutes from The Hadrians Way (Route 72). We recommend The Percy Arms, Walbottle (0.6 miles away) for a reasonably priced bite to eat. It's a 10-15 minute walk or 2 minutes in the car. They serve food from 12-3 and 5-8 Monday-Saturday Please note that on a Sunday they finish serving food at 4pm. There's also The Keelman & Big Lamp Brewery which is 1.2 miles away. A 5 minute drive or 20-25 minute walk. They do not do Sunday Lunch. Sunday-Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday 12pm-9pm. If you like Indian food - Ma'ida Table Spread is only a 15 minute walk away. They are open Monday-Sunday from 5.30pm-11pm. Please google the places to look at their menus. I'm not able to add the web addresses.

    Elmhurst is a stylish, two bedroom, stone built, self catering holiday cottage in the village of Ovingham on the north bank of the River Tyne. Recently renovated (August 2019), it sleeps five people comfortably in two bedrooms which can be made up as twin or double facilities. The ground floor has a newly fitted dining kitchen with all necessary amenities and a living room with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. A gravel courtyard area with flower beds to the rear.
    The self contained holiday cottage is well suited for couples, families and friends. A well behaved pet is welcome. It features all the amenities required for a comfortable holiday break: from wood burning stove in the living room to an outdoor barbecue in the quiet, enclosed yard to the rear. The area is ideal for walking and cycling. It provides an ideal base for a gentle, relaxed break or a family adventure exploring the history and countryside of the Tyne Valley and Northumberland.
    The cottage has a front garden with seating area facing south and is situated a few metres from the graceful churchyard of St Mary the Virgin where the famous illustrator and engraver Thomas Bewick is buried. An 18th century packhorse bridge spans the Whittle Burn which runs into the Tyne a short distance down the road. Located next door to the old Ovingham village post office, Elmhurst was built in the 19th century as the postmistress’s house. To the rear of the cottage is a secluded area with seating area, firepit and barbecue. The property has been newly renovated as a holiday cottage and finished to a high standard.

    Welcome to our light modern airy flat, enjoy staying in a nice space where nearly everything in new. Its clean comfortable & we will give you all the information you need via email. Ideal for visiting Newcastle (10 min bus ride ) You are hiring one room, there is another also available unless it has already booked by another airbnb guest.(the whole flat is available ) Quiet residential street in the west end of Newcastle.
    Please note we have moved out of the flat & other Airbnb guests nights have hired the other room. The whole flat is also available to hire. The room to rent is a tidy spacious clean room with double bed.(3rd guest gets a mattress on the floor, any additional must be agreed & discussed in advance.) size wise it is 12' by 14' foot ish. It has a large window and is fully carpeted. There is a TV in the bedroom with an amazon fire stick and dvd player for your use :) We are close to (10mins) central station, the airport,the arena. And we are Right beside St James park (4 mins) Use of internet, kitchen,washing machine,iron, Large flat screen TV in lounge, garden,use of private drive included, all available at no extra cost. The living room and kitchen are open plan with a new wooden style laminate floor. The bedrooms have a cozy beige carpet. The bathroom is new and has a power shower and is fully tiled. During your stay we would be more than happy to email the best places to eat/visit/drink, we also sometimes have a discount card available to you so you can go out and get great prices at various places. There are maps & takeaway menus in the flat ready for your arrival. Fenham is a very friendly neighbourhood and we have great neighbours, there is a large supermarket with a 2 min walk and a range of smaller shops and takeways there also. There is a huge number of bus stops within a 2 minute walk also which can take you directly to town within 10-15 minutes. Special events and occasion : I am happy to organise gifts, baloons, wine, champagne, book you into a local restaurant, offer lifts..where we can help we will. Our place is unique because its small,smart, clean, tidy, you get what you see and more and we are more than happy to welcome you into our lovely home. You have access to the entire place & drive way parking, front & back garden,fridge,cooking utensils,washing machine,all apart from our the other bedroom :) This neighborhood is super friendly I know almost all my neighbours, Its a lovely friendly typical northern street. We are 2 minutes from the supermarket & a range of local shops including a hairdressers, 3 takeaways, & one of the best fish and chip shops in the north east. Public transport from here is fantastic you can take arround 15 buses direct into town which takes arround 10 minutes they come every 10 minutes, 63 & 62 are the best and cost arround £2. A taxi will set you back arround £5/6 during the day £8/10 at night. The airport is 10/15 minutes away and im happy to collect or take you if im arround ( Taxi is £10). Parking is free and the driveway will be all yours. If you need a lift when I am on my way to work in the morning just hop in the car.We are always going here there and everywhere as our dog loves a good few walks a day. If you are wanting to go to see any football games at St James Park, you have came to the right place. Toni is a season ticket holder & avid fan so lifts there and back are always available just 5 minutes away by car. If you are coming to a gig or consert we are 10 minutes away from all the major gig venues, O2, carling, Arena, Sage. Coming for a meeting or a trip to the famous 'toon nightlife' we are 10 minutes from the city centre by bus or car.
    This neighborhood is super friendly I know all my neighbours ( apart from downstairs), we look out for each other I put their bins out . Its a lovely friendly typical northern street. We are 2 minutes from the supermarket & a range of local shops including a hairdressers, 3 takeaways, & one of the best fish and chip shops in the north east.
