We will start by learning how the ingredients used affect the Bagels and the final result. Then we will all measure our ingredients using scales. After that, I will show you how to properly mix and knead the dough which you will do on your own right after me. Welcome to Edible Other, a Montreal pop-up devoted to exploring the global food and culinary communities of this incredible city and province. This unique experience is a 5-course tasting menu of dishes inspired by the tastes of Montreal's gastronomic immigrant cultures - a market mix of Asian, Jewish, Caribbean, Italian, Portuguese, or Middle Eastern - personally cooked by a Michelin star-trained chef in a private 1800's-era loft and kitchen. The hosting Chef is an award-winning food writer (Gourmet, Food+Wine) and Doctoral scholar (Oxford University/Press) who has worked with celebrity chefs, James Beard-Award, and Top Chef from the US to Asia-Pacific. The dining site is an apartment in a historic 1800's building in the famous Old Port. There will be an emphasis on Canadian sources of seafood, meat, ethnic inspiration, and cheesemakers. This is your opportunity to have your own professional photographer to show you the most photogenic spots around Downtown Ottawa and take photos of you. This Experience will last for 60 min. We will meet outside the front main entrance of the National Arts Centre. I will take you to the beautiful spots in downtown Ottawa such as the rooftop terrace of the NAC, outside of the historic Fairmont Chateau Laurier, and Major's Hill Park. These spots create fantastic backdrops for photos and you will not be disappointed. Even the locals are unaware of some of these photo spots! Have any specific locations or events in Ottawa that you would want me there for? No problem! Just contact me and we can arrange a photoshoot experience to capture your day. After the Experience, I will send you a link to your private online gallery where you will be able to access your beautifully edited photos! *IMPORTANT NOTE* The number of photos you will receive are not included in the booking price. Whether it's to de-stress or just for the novelty of it, the Rage Room is an awesome activity to do. It's pretty simple, choose from a variety of glass items and electronics, suit up in our complete protective gear and break stuff. A signed waiver is required to participate in this activity. You must be 18 years or older and will be asked to provide proof if deemed required (or 16-17, with a parent). Please keep in mind, you are breaking glass items and electronics, so this experience is not for the faint-hearted. Other things to note When you arrive, you'll have to sign a waiver before starting the experience. The Rage Cage can accommodate up to 4-5 people at a time.
