“One of the best spots to get papered in Napa Valley. Don't miss a great brunch, spa mineral pool, and a huge, gorgeous main pool.”

Spa
“Located on a bed of natural hot springs, the historic Indian Springs resort in Calistoga was built in 1861 by gold rush millionaire Sam Brannan. Over the years it has drawn numbers of Bay Area fans for its charming bungalows, relaxing vibes, and soothing spa treatments of healing volcanic mud. Approximately one hour is all you need to experience the time-honored mud dip.”

“In the early days of the National Geographic Society, Old Faithful Geyser of California was declared one of only three “faithful” geysers in the world because of its regular eruptions. Old Faithful erupts every 30 - 40 minutes. This is quite a site to see and a great place to get a bit of education about the earth and geysers in general. Great website. Great area for taking children. Goat farm, gardens, picnic area, bocce ball, museum, and gift shop. ”

“Solage has the popular SolBar, an open dining area resembling something you would find in Palm Springs - very Zen. Menu is divided into two sections with both apps and entrees, healthy/light options and heartier options. The wine list is not as extensive as some other Napa fine dining locations but it is more than respectable. Bottles are a little heavy on the mark-up (3x retail for the more common names recognized).”

“Café Sarafornia- www.cafesarafornia.com 1413 Lincoln Ave. Best breakfast in town! REALLY good comfort food. Some gluten free items on the menu.”

“Solage Calistoga is a relative newcomer on the hotel scene here, and Solbar is one of its best amenities. Featuring a large, open dining room that looks out onto an outdoor garden and seating area, it’s a nice quiet spot for California-style cuisine. It’s a great place to meet people for drinks, but we recommend sticking around to try the truffled organic chicken.”
