“Many of the visitors to Independence National Historical Park line up to see the Liberty Bell, one of the park’s — and the country’s — most iconic attractions”

“The most visited attraction in Philadelphia? Reading Terminal Market, the city’s famous indoor food paradise that’s a one-stop shop for local produce, delicious sandwiches, fresh-baked pastries and artisanal cheeses available from dozens of vendors. More than 7.7 million people visited the market in 2018, and for good reason — it’s amazing”

“I always pass through here on the way to visit my parents or just getting to the other side of town. It's a great building, full of architectural details. Dilworth Park, on the west side, has an ice skating rink in the winter and a run through water fountain in the summer. Love Park, across the street at the end of Ben Franklin Parkway, has the LOVE sculpture and a great view up the parkway to the Philadelphia Museum of Art (with the Rocky steps). A great place to hang out and take a break. During December they have pop-up shops (Christmas Village in Love Park and Made in Philadelphia in Dilworth Park), with food and a bar, light show, ferris wheel, and a little train ride. Carousel in the center of City Hall, and musicians and performers. Go across the street on the east side to Macys and catch the light show and Dicken's Village of A Christmas Carol there.”

“The Magic Gardens spans three city lots, and includes indoor galleries and a large outdoor labyrinth. It is a giant piece of art you can walk through and explore nooks & crannies. It is whimsical & facinating. To date, it is the largest work created by mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar. They host fun events, DIY art nights, live music & BYOB. Check the website calender for more information. ”

“Pat's and Geno's are the two most recognizable spots to grab a cheesesteak for people outside of the city. People who live in the city, however, think of them as a bit of a tourist trap. If you must make the trip over and see for yourself, it's about a 10-minute walk. We'd recommend Pat's, as it's less of a spectacle than the neon monstrosity of Geno's”

“During the summer months, the Spruce Street Harbor Park is an awesome place to have a drink while lounging in a hammock. Relax under the colorfully lit trees in the park by the water. There are some decent choices for quick bites as well.”

“This is the beer garden you have to check out when in Philly. 1 Liter beers, outdoor fire pits, German food, and games. I frequent this place regularly as it never disappoints. Even when it’s cold out, they have a lot of heaters outside that can keep it decently comfortable. There is also an indoor area if you need it. Even though it’s a beer garden, I see a lot of families there with kids regularly so don’t feel as if the whole family can’t go. ”

“Local Fave. So it’s a friendly competition between Pat’s steaks. Their stores literally face each other. So you have to buy a steak from each place and weigh in on this debate. Whose is the best ”

“This historic wooden coaster dates back to 1927, during Coney Island’s glory days. Now a national historic landmark and part of the new Luna Park, the Cyclone still thrills riders every spring and summer. After you’ve gotten your fill of the amusement park, don’t forget to grab a beer and hot dog from the original Nathan’s Famous.”
