If you are looking for a comfortable, simple, smoke-free and toxic-free environment then our rustic cottage is for you. Our 7 acre organic homestead is located off a quiet road just two miles from downtown Cottage Grove and 22 miles from Eugene.
Currently, we have a king-size organic cotton bed and a single organic cotton mattress in the loft and a full-size futon downstairs for sleeping. Or, if you would prefer, you are also welcome to set up a tent outside the cottage if extra space is needed. There is a kitchen, with a stove, oven, fridge and basic cooking utensils. We have wifi internet available. The bathroom has hot water, a shower, and a composting toilet. You can find more information on our composting toilet in the Humanure Handbook. We are excited to make our cottage available to folks on route or looking for a short visit in need of a simple, affordable and healthy space.
There are beautiful, scenic rides on the bike path along Row River that pass many swimming holes. In the summer, abundant blackberries are available for picking all along the bike path and there are plenty of apples in the fall. We have a couple of bikes available for guests to use.

Esperienza meravigliosa! Speriamo di tornare.

    Katherine2019-11-26T00:00:00Z

Located only one mile off of Interstate 5, the Tiny House is nestled in the backyard of a house in Roseburg. Within good proximity to downtown Roseburg, nearby Wildlife Safari and a drive able distance to the Oregon Coast or Crater Lake for a day trip.
The Tiny House is so cute.
I love that it is quiet and there are no houses across from ours. There is just a wooded area. We often see deer and wild turkeys there. Because our block is so quiet a lot of people walk down it and some walk their dogs. There is a nice little park on the corner.

Located two minutes from I-5 and only a couple of blocks from old downtown Roseburg this light, open studio apartment is set up for overnight visits or an extended stay.
Please note: There are railroad tracks directly on the other side of Pine Street. Two and sometimes three trains go past the building each way each day carrying lumber out of Roseburg and coming back empty. They typically come by 7 AM- 10 PM but occasionally there is a train in the middle of the night. We like trains and they don't bother us but some guests have been upset about the noise. If train noise is going to bother you it would be better if you find accommodations better suited to your needs. We like happy guests! The kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, fridge, gas range, micorwave, plates, silverware, cups and glasses. The bed is made with high thread count cotton sheets and great pillows. We have a large art collection so there will always be art in the apartment. Roseburg gets warm in the summer. The apartment has a high power air conditioner that will keep it nice and cool. There is ample free off street parking. We are experienced travelers and know the things that are nice to have in a place. It's our intention to have set the apartment up the way we'd like to see a place when we travel. There is an iron and an ironing board and some coffee for the first day. It's an wonderful old 1895 house by the railroad with a lot of character. The location on the river is amazing. The building is divided into four separate apartments all rented through Airbnb. Jenny is a full time artist, Magnus a sometime photographer and long term patron of the arts. Our intention is to give plenty of privacy but to be available if you need anything. You'll help yourself in to the apartment with a key in a lock box so if you don't want to meet us you can be completely on your own but we'll be reachable if you need anything.
  • Facile dentro e fuori facile.

Relax and revive in this artistic 'cabin' with wonderful views of historic Glenn Creek from every room. An architectural dream, you enter this lodge style home through a pivoting hobbit style front door with hardware from the 1800's.
Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls. Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. Check out more pictures at www.belowthefallslodge.com Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. Also included are coffee and a grinder, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat eight. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer and TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.
The narrow canyon valley below Golden and Silver Falls is wonderful. I grew up here moved away, and came back for the natural beauty and solitude of the Oregon rain forest. This area has been a favorite of mine since I was a youngster. In 2005 when the bare land became available I jumped on it and started a three year art project which became Below the Falls Lodge.

Enjoy the ultimate Pacific Northwest getaway in our luxury vineyard guest house. We are perfectly located as a launching point to experience Ocean Beaches (1.5 hours), Crater Lake National Park (2.5 hours), Waterfall Hikes (45 minutes), and Wine Tasting (5 minutes!) Enjoy the vineyard view from the elegant patio while cooking/grilling, take a stroll through the historic vines planted in 1971, as well as a hike up the hill to enjoy the view from the vineyard hammocks.
You will have the run of the vineyard property, so plan on making the most of it by bringing some walking/hiking shoes. With the large living room and kitchen area you will find the house spacious and enjoyable yet cozy. The bathroom is a sight to behold with the wine barrel vanity and tile shower with huge rain shower head. Coffee beans and grinder are provided, along with a French press. Farm fresh vineyard chicken eggs will be provided when available. There are spices, sugar, and a full set of pots and pans along with table service for 4. This is a working vineyard property, so be aware there may be vineyard workers and equipment in the area. Feel free to ask for a lesson on taking care of grapevines. Careful, we might even put you to work!
While staying at Chardonnay Chalet you are just 25 minutes from downtown Roseburg and 90 minutes from ocean beaches in Bandon or Coos Bay, so a round of golf at Bandon Dunes with fresh seafood for lunch is totally a possibility! This property is situated just under a mile from the nearest convenience store and gas station, the “Tenmile Store.” That would be a handy place to pick up some bacon and other things to cook for breakfast. A more full selection of groceries can be found 15 minutes away at Ray’s in Winston. There is a wine tasting room and winery on the property here, and 25 other wine tasting rooms/wineries within a 30 minute drive, so this is a wine tasting Mecca! Roseburg also has several excellent breweries. A few fantastic local restaurants are: True Kitchen Brix Parrott House

Siamo stati qui a gennaio dopo alcune notti in campeggio.

Situato appena fuori dall'autostrada 138 e in prossimità di molte divertenti avventure all'aria aperta!

We will have the place fully stocked with all of the essentials you'll need for your stay. This is a working class neighborhood and the people are typically warm and friendly. We often see people walking their dogs and they'll stop and chat with us. The neighborhood is very quiet for the most part except for an occasional train going through about 3 blocks away maybe once a day. We do want to point out that there is a dilapidated house across the street which has been of concern to some guests but it is nothing to worry about. A young man and his wife and two children live there and are slowly trying to get things in order. He's a super nice guy and is our lawn maintenance provider. Thanks for your understanding! The neighborhood is very safe. We used to live in this duplex and never had any problems. We loved living here and still enjoy using it as our coastal getaway!

Onsite BICYCLES, BEER TAPS, and vintage ATARI rentals! Sample some local craft beer and cider with us! Two Tesla charging stations are onsite and usage is free! We are not fancy, but our guests love us - Built in 1950, we're a mid-century roadside inn located on Highway 101. We are the ONLY Airbnb listing in Coos Bay & North Bend with a COUNTY HEALTH LICENSE and STATE LIQUOR LICENSE for guest accommodations and we undergo regular inspections to maintain these licenses.
We have a cute and clean 5-room inn, located right on the 101 in North Bend, Oregon! We are located ON HIGHWAY 101 which means: #1 - We are super easy to find and #2 - We have logging trucks and other traffic moving along the highway that creates road noise. We only want our guests to be SUPER COMFY and we would rather risk losing your business than for you not to be happy staying with us. Most guests aren't phased by the noise, though, just so you know. This studio features one full-size bed and one twin-size bed, Wifi, flat-screen + cable TV, mini-refrigerator, microwave and locally roasted coffees and locally made soaps! ***We separate room trash daily and participate in Oregon’s recycling programs*** :) This vacation studio is down the block from a bicycle shop (they do great bike tune-ups) and across the street from a market that has great Oregon craft beer and cider on tap, growlers, and serves Umqua ice cream cones. They also have Sugar Shack pastries from Reedsport! Also across the street also is a great little cafe called Moms Kitchen! - Awesome service and breakfast and great prices. Our inn's location is just a walk down the 101, to great restaurants, markets, shopping, with easy access to the dunes, forests or sea. Bicycles and crabbing gear are available to guests for no fee! PLEASE - No smoking, no pets allowed. Thanks. ***Additional Roll-a-way, folding bed is available upon request***i
The North Bend - Coos Bay area has some good eating establishments, plenty of outdoorsy activities, and wonderful people. Let us know what type of meal you're craving and we will hook you up with the 411. Beware! - Locals, for the most part, drive a little slow and brake early on yellow lights.

Lone Wolf Cabin is situated on a gated road in a forest setting. It is the only residence on the road. It is about 2 miles from both Oakridge and Westfir which makes it convenient for mountain bike riding, hiking, golfing and dining out. There are both Forest Service Trails and game trails near the cabin. The cabin is rustic with modern conveniences. Weekly discount is $500.00
The cabin has wood siding, blue stain pine interior except the bathroom which is cedar. The floors are oak except the bathroom which is tile. The cabin has a washer and dryer and full kitchen. There is a queen size bed upstairs and futon downstairs.
There are no other structures on the road leading to the cabin or in the vicinity of the cabin yet it is about ten minutes from both Oakridge and Westfir on forested land.
  • Che gioiello! Spazio fantastico.

This studio features one queen-size bed, Wifi, flat-screen + cable TV, mini-refrigerator, microwave and locally roasted coffees and locally made soaps! Thanks. ***Additional Roll-a-way, folding bed is available upon request***
The North Bend - Coos Bay area has some good eating establishments, plenty of outdoorsy activities, and wonderful people. Let us know what type of meal you're craving and we will hook you up with the 411. Beware! - Locals, for the most part, drive a little slow and brake early on yellow lights.

    Sarah2019-09-18T00:00:00Z

Our farm is nestled in a beautiful, isolated valley on the western slope of the coast range of southern Oregon, with a pristine river named Middle Creek running through. Lush pasture, 100 y/o conifer forest, & a home surrounded by productive orchard, flower beds & veggie gardens, the land sits a mile below narrows in the canyon of blue-green mountains that face the sea. A place close to nature of serenity & beauty, this is the ideal retreat from the hustle & bustle of big cities & busy highways.
Sunbather sits at the southwest corner of Myrtle Glen Farm Lodge with a comfortable queen sized bed and a wall of windows looking out into the flower gardens. A hanging rattan chair swivels in 360 degrees and is the perfect nook to watch birds out of the windowed wall or nestle up with your favorite book. There is a tile bathroom with a sink and toilet connected to the Sunbather room as well as another room on the opposite end, The Stargazer. These two rooms also share a spacious deck directly outside. The underwater themed tile master bathroom, across the living room, has a shower for guest use. Our living room and kitchen are shared spaces, available for your use at any time. Myrtle Glen Farm is more than a mere farmhouse; it's an experience. Guests will also have access throughout our 27 acre property. Whether it's petting goats and alpacas in our pasture, wandering our 105 year old forest, feeding ducks at our pond, reading a book in a hammock in the orchard, perusing the fruits and veggies in our permaculture garden, taking pictures of bumble bees pollinate flowers, listening to owls call out against the canvas of a star-lit sky, or cooling your feet in our pristine mountain stream, the true value in visiting Myrtle Glen Farm is interacting with the thoughtfully stewarded forest and farm environment. Our farmer/chef Micha is available for hire if you're interested in authentic farm-to-table meals during your visit. Once booked, we'll provide full details regarding this option. For more pictures and details about Myrtle Glen Farm, please visit us at myrtleglenfarm.com *This farm is a full-time job for us. Sundays and Mondays are our days to relax a bit, so we do not offer our chef service on those days.
A winding, scenic, paved 20 minute drive takes you to the old town and county seat of Coquille, and another 20 minutes lands you in the city of Coos Bay, which is the second largest port on the renowned Oregon coast. South of that is the quaint town of Bandon-by-the-Sea where the southern stretch of breathtaking sea-stacked rocks begins, leading to the giant redwoods in northern California. Old-growth forests are a short drive from the farm, and beautiful hiking, running and biking routes along the river and within the canyon are accessible from our property. There is also a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole a mile up the road from the farm (right onto Middle Creek Road from Driveway). Roseburg and the I-5 corridor are slightly over an hour away with easy access to winery tour routes and other parts of Oregon or California.
Bello e libero dal caos cittadino di go go go go.

Elisa e Marc

We have a few dates that are becoming available from guests that are unable to travel to Oregon. Booking for AUG/SEP/OCT/NOV is Sunday, June 7th at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time. We usually have more available spaces late season. Sign up for our Booking Notification/Cancellation List by emailing summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G). Our 2020 season runs Apr 2 - Nov 16. And please - please! - read the "Tips for Getting a Booking"!
BOOKING THE SUMMIT PRAIRIE DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS... Several of our booked guests have contacted us asking us to please stay open so they have an opportunity to get away and relax in a relatively safe environment. We understand. We are trying to be socially responsible while at the same time meeting the wishes and needs of our guests. We really want to see you, but also to keep us all safe. At this point we do not plan to close unless we are ordered to by the state or county. Oregon Governor Brown's recent Executive Order 20-12 (dated 3/23/20) directing everyone in Oregon to stay at home to the maximum extent possible does not require us to close as long as appropriate social distancing can be maintained. Like all other businesses, we are taking extra measures to make sure the spaces are as clean and safe as possible, paying special attention to surfaces most frequently touched. Obviously we can't guarantee anything, but we are doing all we can to reduce the risk to you as well as to ourselves. We have only 2 reservations per week. No one else but the two of us will be here during your stay. And we live in our Summer House about 500 feet away from the lookout. If you do decide to come, please plan on staying here during your entire visit. That’s not a bad thing. There are plenty of things to do here - hiking, soaking in the hot tub, watching the deer in the meadow, and there are lots of games and books on the shelves of the lookout. Simply being quiet and apart from the hurt of the world right now is worth it. If you do decide to cancel, we will fully refund anyone, at any time, regardless of the reason, no questions asked. Should you decide to cancel, we would of course prefer that you do that sooner rather than later but we realize that isn't always possible. Also, if you're not feeling well, please cancel, even if it is last minute - we totally understand! We respect your decisions. And look forward to hosting you at Summit Prairie. 2020 SEASON BOOKING INFORMATION Our prices will remain the same as they have for the last 4 seasons. However, we will be moving to a 4 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Thursday, check out Monday and a 3 NIGHT MINIMUM - check in Monday, check out Thursday. Check in/check out days will be Mondays and Thursdays only and we will not have any 2 or 1 night stays. We can only take about 60 reservations per year and there will be hundreds of guests trying to get a booking when we open the calendar. We allow our previous guests priority booking each year and they usually book about the half the season and almost all of the weekends prior to opening our calendar to the general public. You can Like the Summit Prairie on that site where you Like things, follow us on Insta or visit the summitprairie website for the latest updates. TIPS FOR GETTING A BOOKING 1. Make sure your Airbnb profile is filled out completely including a clear photograph of yourself, your government ID, what city you are from and a little bit about yourself. Our intention is not to discriminate against anyone but when we see an incomplete profile we feel like a guest is trying to hide something. We've had guests that were able to secure dates only to lose them before confirmation because they didn't have their profile completed. That is an Airbnb requirement, we're not in control of that. 2. Have all of your credit card information completed on your profile. Booking will happen very quickly and you will not have time to add credit card information when the calendar opens. 3. Early season 2020 (April through July) is completely booked but late season (August through November) booking will be June 7th, 2020 at 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Saving Time - we usually have more available dates in late season because we have fewer large events pre-booked here. We will book our 4 night stays (Thursday through Monday) at 9:00 a.m. and our 3 night stays (Monday through Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. Check back here for updates or visit the summitprairie website and sign-up for our Booking Notification List. 4. Refresh your browser frequently. The entire booking window will last less than 10 minutes. Don't worry about sending us a message when you send us your booking request - someone else will grab the dates while you're typing your message! After the calendar appears full, continue to check back every few minutes during the first hour - guests frequently get overly excited when booking and dates that appear to have been booked end up opening up again. We will announce on the site when all dates are filled and booking is completed. 5. Be flexible on your dates. Most of the weekend dates and summer mid-week will already have been booked by our previous guests so most of the dates available will be early season (April/May) or late season (October/November). 6. Once you book your dates, you won't be able to change them as we will be completely booked for the season. You also will not be able to change the number of nights but you can cancel your reservation and if we're able to rebook the dates, we will give you a 90% refund (this is less strict than the Airbnb strict cancellation policy of 50% refund up to 2 weeks prior to arrival and no refund 1 week prior to arrival). 7. If you're unable to get a booking, visit the summitprairie website and click on Booking Information. Or send an email to summitprairie at the email of the world's most popular search engine (starts with a G) and we'll add you to our Cancellation Notification List. We usually get 5 to 6 cancellations during the season and the sooner you get on the list, the more chances you will get to book. 8. Finally, we do know that it is a complete hassle to book with us so we are extremely appreciative of you guys that stick with us through this process!! Thanks and we look forward to seeing you someday at the Summit Prairie! ---------------------------------------------------- Missing peace and quiet? Wishing for space to relax and renew? Here is your chance! Off the grid, atop a 40-acre meadow on 160 acres of private land. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest in Douglas County, Oregon. Welcome to Summit Prairie! Hear the wind give voice to the trees at the edge of the meadow. Listen to the birds calling in the valley below. Let the peace you feel here…. stay with you. Your hosts, Alan and Dabney, will welcome you, help carry your things up the four flights of stairs, and orient you to all the wonders of this place, then leave you in peace so you can enjoy. Built in Two Thousand Nine, the lookout tower is modeled after Fire Lookout Towers built by the US Forest Service in the early Nineteen Hundreds. However, it's enhanced with modern essentials: a full kitchen featuring hot and cold running water, propane stove, refrigerator, heater and lamps, exterior shower, comfortable beds in the cupola and main floor with windows all around to let in summer breezes and breath-taking views. And while simply chilling at Summit Prairie is oh-so-fine, think of this place also as a launch point for day trips to Crater Lake (2 hours), or Ashland, site of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (1.5 hours), or historic Jacksonville, site of the annual Britt Festival (1.5 hours), Rogue River Rafting (45 minutes), the South Umpqua Falls (45 minutes) or the Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville (1 hour). Imagine! Kick back and relax, read a book, play a game (or three)… write in a journal, meditate… daydream in the hammocks down the hill… soak your cares away and relax in a secluded wood-fired, spring-fed hot tub… Even dance under the moon or sing to the stars. Memories are made here. Come to Summit Prairie...
Enjoy 160 acres of pure, private bliss. Surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest, you'll awaken each morning only to the sound of birds calling in the trees or bees humming about their business in the meadow. In the evening be amazed at the sunsets, and then as the dusk settles into darkness, exhaust your ability to count all the stars that light up the sky.

Altamente raccomandato!

    Molly2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Assolutamente spettacolare!

Sanitized daily! Conveniently located near I-5 and downtown Roseburg, our home is a pleasant stop for travelers as well as short-term visitors. We have great trails for biking and walking at our back door. We have one dog, Jim, in the home who loves people. There is a park with playground across the street. Our home is not child-proof and young children must be supervised at all times. We do not have any special accommodations for children such as high-chair and crib.
You will enjoy our beautiful accommodations in the historic Laurelwood district, as well as the beauty and nature that surround the home. Coffee and tea are provided in the morning. The Sun Room is located on the second floor, facing North and East with a view to the park. It has a double bed with a Tempurpedic mattress, chest of drawers, closet, and chair. There is a mini frig. The room shares a bathroom across the hall with one other guest room.
Laurelwood is on the National Historic Register and our 1941 home is listed as well. The neighborhood is a well-preserved representative of middle-America single-family architectural choices in the early to mid-20th century. The North-Northwest course of the South Umpqua River here gives Laurelwood the reason for its curving streets and odd-shaped lots. Native trees have been preserved by covenant for the enhancement of the area. Another prominent feature of Laurelwood, the neighborhood park, also speaks of community awareness and planning, and was a favorite theme of Von Casey, Laurelwood’s developer. Laurelwood was designed with the up and coming business man and his family in mind, an attractive, well-planned neighborhood with restrictive covenants to protect the home-owner’s investment.

Our Glasgow Guest House is a 325 sq ft cottage behind our house on Coos Bay. Furnished with a queen bed, smart TV and fully equipped kitchenette. Warm, clean and quiet, with natural Douglas fir flooring and tiled bath.
Bright and cheery, our new cottage is furnished with a comfy Poang chair from IKEA and a vintage Herman Miller mid-century rocking chair, and a vintage dresser from a Mills College dorm. Also part of the decor: an old oak library table and a small folding wood table, both of which belonged to my grandmother. Several years ago, I had an artist friend paint the little table and it has provided the focal point for the color scheme.
The Glasgow area is considered a desirable neighborhood because of the hillside on which it is situated, which protects the area from sometimes intense summer winds. We are less than 4 miles from Horsfall Beach, less than 30 minutes away from Sunset Bay State Park, Bastendorff Beach, and Shore Acres' historical gardens. We are 45 minutes and 30 miles away from the amenities of Bandon, Oregon: a colorful old-town with unique shopping opportunities, a beautiful beach, several good food options, and the world-renowned Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. The golf resort has been identified as one of the world's top ten links golf courses.

  • Ottimo posto dove stare con splendide viste.

    Claire2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
