I have lived, worked and played in Scottsdale for 20 years and this condo was my full-time home for nearly half of them. I have enjoyed some of the best years of my life here! After spending most of the past nine years in the Los Angeles area — Pasadena, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey — I relocated to Sedona, Arizona, full-time and began working for L’Auberge de Sedona Resort and Spa. My condo is in Old Town near Main and Marshall Way Arts District, nestled in a historic neighborhood known as Scottsdale Garden Apartment District. My building and a dozen or more next door were bustling resorts in the 1950s and the neighborhood is steeped in Old West midcentury charm like iconic neighbor Hotel Valley Ho— a national and local historic landmark that was a hidden hideaway for Hollywood elite dating back to 1956. The condo's location is the #1 thing guests love! It’s close to all the action but far enough away to get away from it all and enjoy a quiet space. It’s about a block-and-a-half from the Scottsdale Trolley pickup 'n' drop-off site and walkable to the heart of Old Town where there are lots of things to do and see. What guests also love about my condo: 2) Squeaky-clean, clutter-free housekeeping and attention to detail. 3) Quick response time, friendly communication and fantastic guest service. 4) Fully-stocked essentials for kitchen, laundry, bed, bath, pool, personal care. 5) 145 five-star reviews and maintaining and achieving elite "Plus" status and "Superhost" status for 22 consecutive quarters since becoming eligible, July, 2016. My place is best suited for: Urban-minded modern minimalists who prefer a simple clutter-free, clean space with an efficient floor-plan, and whom prefer a comfortable, modern interior and an exterior with Midcentury “Googie” architectural charm. You can Uber or scooter or bicycle to hipster cyber-coffee houses, swank cafés, resorts, nightclubs, sports bars, restaurants, hiking/biking trails, golf courses, spas, spring training Major League Baseball, luxury and boutique shopping, natural attractions and sightseeing galore. The neighborhood has a great Bike and Scooter Score of 85 and a comfortable, easy Walk Score and Sound Score of 75. The location is centrally located. It’s close to arterial freeways that connect to Mesa, Phoenix, Tempe (ASU Campus) and North Scottsdale/Carefree/Cave, Glendale. The condo is mere minutes from the epicenter of Old Town’s sizzling social scene replete with unexcelled dining, hipster coffee houses and cyber cafés, art galleries and western museums, Southwest and Native American gift shops and novelty shops, San Francisco Giants Scottsdale Stadium, soon-to-be Phoenix Rising practice facility, designer fashion boutiques, Fashion Square Mall, 5-star resorts and spas, biking and walking paths, hiking trails, Art Walk Thursdays, Scottsdale Artist’s School, Downtown Scottsdale Entertainment District, historic Main Street, Fifth Avenue, Scottsdale Civic Center for the Arts, Camelback Mountain and Scottsdale Waterfront and Arizona Canal. About me: I'm typically not in town when my guests are. I spend a great deal of time in Sedona. If I’m in town when you are, I welcome getting acquainted but I always respect your privacy and never intrude. I’ve been in hospitality, corporate communications, news-media and public relations for 20 years. I believe in providing amazing customer service and managing expectations through transparency and clear communication. It's my business practice to be proactive. Have an issue or concern? Let's talk about whatever it may be that isn't working for you. If you’re not happy, I’m not happy. My outlook on life: I believe what you allow in your presence defines your values. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and an open heart and mind... Some would say I'm a risk taker who leaps with the faith the net will appear. I listen to my gut; I follow my heart. I don’t regret anything that once made me smile. I believe in the adage, "Let go or be dragged." I’m passionate about civil rights, social-justice, equality, diversity, acceptance, tolerance.... Love equally :). I’m an animal lover and animal rights advocate, a portrait artist and a photographer of all things. One thing I'm not: A cook! The best thing I make are reservations ;) Another thing I'm not: An early bird. But I still manage to get the worm ;) My ideal vacation-destination is a tropical island like Maldives, Bali, Fiji, Thailand, Bora Bora, Bali. When I'm on vacation I don't make plans. Zero itinerary is heaven to me. Letting things unfold naturally and organically is how I roll. I am very proud of a few things I've accomplished in my nearly six-year partnership with Airbnb: Earning the distinguished status of Superhost 20 consecutive quarters since partnering with Airbnb, 2016.
