A spacious, self-contained apartment in a Grade II listed villa in central Cheltenham, with its own entrance and off-street parking for one saloon car. It's 5 minutes walk into town.

The apartment is on the lower-ground floor with a flight of 10 steps down to the front door. There are two large, double bedrooms (one has a kingsize bed and the other two singles), a living room with a dining-table, kitchen, bathroom and courtyard garden. It accommodates a maximum of four people. No extra fees.

At present, as a Covid-related precaution, we impose a minimum of 3 days between stays during which time the apartment will be cleaned, sanitised and left empty.

A large (80 sq m / 860 sq ft) two bedroom apartment in a Grade II listed Regency-style villa in a quiet residential street yet close to Cheltenham town centre. It occupies the whole of the lower-ground floor of our family home. With your own private entrance and a small courtyard-garden you are independent of the rest of the house, although we are upstairs if you need anything.

There is a large double bedroom (20 sq.m/215 sq.ft), with a kingsize bed. The second bedroom is also a good size (16 sq.m/170 sq.ft) and has two single beds. Both bedrooms have bed linen, towels, guest wardrobes and seating. As the main bedroom has a king size bed, if four people are staying two will need to share this bed. The sofas in the living room are not suitable to be used as beds.

We have a travel cot with mattress/sheets/cellular baby blankets but feel free to bring your own cot bedding if you prefer. We have a stairgate to block off the internal stairs if you need to. The street-level entrance is covered and secure for storage of buggies/prams. So you don't need to bring them downstairs.

The spacious living room (19 sq. m/205 sq. ft) includes an extendable dining table. Virgin media provides superfast broadband and a full satellite television service - this includes Sky/BT sports and Sky movies. There is also a DVD player. Guests are welcome to use our DVDs, games and books whilst they are with us.

There is a fully equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hob, oven, coffee maker, microwave, pans and utensils. There is also a washing machine/dryer. We provide a small welcome pack of food (tea, coffee, jams, eggs, milk, orange juice and cereals) to get you started. Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a separate bath. We provide towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer.

There is underfloor heating throughout the apartment and instant hot water at all times. The heating is pre-set to 20 -21C (lower at night). Please speak to us when you arrive if you’d like this adjusted.

You will have your own access at the front and we will meet you and show you down on arrival. We'll liaise with you about arrival and if you are likely to need a late check-in, or if we are going to be out, we will provide the code for the key safe. You can then check-in yourselves.

Altre cose da tenere a mente
The hallway and the living room have original rustic flagstones and, as part of their charm, they are a little uneven in places. There is a large rug over most of the flagstones in the living room.

There are 10 stone steps down to the front door. There is a handrail but, unfortunately, no wheelchair access.

We live upstairs so you may hear the odd creak and bump as the house is 150 years old.

Please do not use the apartment to entertain others who were not included in your booking.

Cheltenham town centre with a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants is about 5 minutes away on foot, and yet the road is peaceful and quiet. You can easily walk to Sandford Park (5 mins) with its adjacent open-air Lido (open summer only). Pittville Park with its boating lake, fantastic childrens' play area and Georgian pump room is a 20 minute stroll or a 5 minute drive.

Cheltenham race course is 10 minutes by car - we can recommend taxi companies. We have different rates for Gold Cup week and these are shown on the calendar.

There are many good restaurants and pubs in town. If you use Tripadvisor, or equivalent, please bear in mind that many of them get busy and may require an early reservation, particularly whilst there are COVID restrictions in place.

I've been an Airbnb host since September 2015. Cheltenham has a great selection of festivals, restaurants and pubs and I will gladly give you a bit of information if you need it.

During COVID we will leave the key in the key safe. Knock on our door and, from a safe distance, we’ll give you the key safe code and explain a few essentials. We live upstairs which means we can be contacted easily if you need help.
