Appartamento arredato con gusto e dotato di tutto quello che può servirvi. Nel cuore del centro storico di Siena e ad 80 m dalla fermata degli autobus per Firenze, Roma ed altre destinazioni. Silenzioso e accogliente, in un antico palazzo nobile notificato recentemente restaurato, lungo una delle vie principali di Siena ed il percorso della Via Francigena. Parcheggio gratuito a 400 m. Aria condizionata, WI-FI, lavatrice disponibili. Perfetto per due persone, può accoglierne fino a 3.

Lo spazio
A fully furnished apartment on the first floor (second floor, for American guests) in a former noble residence and listed building in Via dei Montanini, in the pedestrian area of the historic centre of Siena.

The location: The building is of historical interest and has been recently restored, as has the apartment. Situated right around the corner from Piazza Gramsci, the main bus stop for any day trips you wish to do during your stay.
A pleasant walk through the main shopping area of Siena (Via dei Montanini and Via Banchi di Sopra) will lead you to Piazza del Campo and the Duomo (Cathedral) in about 10 minutes.

The train station is easily reachable via taxi (about €10 plus luggage fee, taxi station in Piazza Matteotti, 200 m away), bus (from Piazza Gramsci or Piazza del Sale), walking (15 mins). You will be able to see more detailed info on how to reach the apartment on your booking details page.
The apartment is 1 min walking from La Lizza and 5 mins from La Fortezza, two beautiful public green spaces where you can have nice walks with stunning views over Siena and the surrounding hills.

Via dei Montanini is a central pedestrian street (only residents are allowed to get in there by car). There are many shops, bars, grocers and small supermarkets. The neighbourhood is very quiet and families have been living in the area for generations.

The apartment: Comfortable living room; bedroom in the mezzanine above the living; bathroom with window and shower stall; fully equipped kitchenette with induction hob. The single beds can be pushed together to make a double bed (double linens and blankets provided). The washing machine and clothesline are in the light-well. A/C available. Hairdryer, American coffee machine, boiler, toaster, microwave oven, iron and ironing board provided.
Please note the apartment has 3 internal levels and is therefore not suitable if you have any mobility issues.

We will always be easily reachable by phone, messages, e-mails, Airbnb etc.

Cleaning fees:
- 2-night stay: 15€ (included in the booking fee)
- 3 to 7-night stay: 25€ (included in the booking fee)
- for any stays over one week, a 25€ fee will be applied to each additional week. E.g., for a 3-week stay: €25 are already included in the booking price; €25 x 2 = €50 will be applied for the second and third week. Clean sheets and towels will also be provided each week.

Check-in between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm, check-out by 10:00 am.

Please read the indications to get to the flat carefully: you will be able to see them on your booking details page after you have booked. We are not responsible for any tickets you might receive for entering limited traffic zones or parking in forbidden spots.
Please help us saving energy! Please remember to switch the lights off when you go out, choose rapid and low temperature washing programmes, and avoid setting the A/C below 22 °C. In the past, we noticed that some guests set A/C at 18° C and then put additional blankets on the beds in the summer - which is completely nonsense!
Pets not allowed.
Guests will throw the rubbish and do the dishes before leaving.
Smoking is forbidden.
We reserve ourselves the possibility to charge an extra if towels and sheets are found with difficult/permanent stains, if the apartment is left dirty, and if rules have not been followed.

Via dei Montanini è una delle vie principali di Siena, lungo il percorso della Via Francigena che dall'ingresso Nord della città (Porta Camollia) arriva in Piazza del Campo e al Duomo. Sono disponibili tutti i servizi necessari: negozi di prodotti tipici, forni, bar, supermercati, ristoranti, negozi di ogni tipo. Sarete immersi nella stupenda architettura di Siena, e a due passi da autobus e parcheggi. Tutti i monumenti di maggiore interesse sono a portata di mano, ma allo stesso tempo non ci troviamo nella parte più rumorosa e transitata del centro storico.Perfetto per 2 persone.

Lyza (the daughter) works in international development. She was born and raised in Siena and she has lived in many places in Italy and abroad.

We both love the Abba and we can be occasionally seen singing and dancing while watching Mamma Mia!

We have been hosting travellers on Airbnb for ten years now. We always do our best to welcome our guests and give advices about Siena or Castiglione della Pescaia: where to go, how to get around, which daily trips you could do... And we will be happy to share with you our favourite restaurants!
