Our 5 bed dormitory (female only) is a great place for travelers to rest their heads. It has comfortable twin beds, a reading light, and access to all communal areas. We provide a heater for the cooler nights, and you'll have internet access and a little deck to hang out on. The "Moose" tent cabin is nearby the shared bathrooms, showers, and kitchen. This accommodation is a great opportunity to meet other travelers and socialize in a communal setting.

Sven’s Basecamp Hostel is where adventurers in Alaska begin a journey, meet up after a trip, or take a much-needed rest. Mountaineers, amateur naturalist, wilderness guides, motorcyclist, and those looking to explore Alaska find friends and relaxation here like nowhere else in Fairbanks.

Centrally Located between two major ports of entry we are 3.5 miles from Fairbanks International Airport and 3.5 miles from the Fairbanks train station.

You will be within a mile of a Fred Meyer food and Safeway, and minutes away from some of our favorite bars and restaurants where the locals like to go.

You’ll love your stay because of the private unique glamping experience, the meals you will cook and share (likely with new friends) in the community kitchen, and the memories you will probably value for a lifetime.

Come alone or bring family and friends. Dogs are not permitted in the shared dormitories.

The beds are fitted with sheets, sleeping bags, and pillows. Towels are available for rent for $3.

The bathroom and quarter-operated shower are conveniently located in our community bath house nearby.
