Flatscreens (with Rokus) and cable in all rooms, new queen mattresses, high speed wifi, oversized deck with dining table, chaises and rockers, and unobstructed ocean view. Private deck off master bedroom. Street-side porch and awesome shaded deck under house with swing & picnic table. Extra refrigerator/freezer in downstairs laundry room. Use the outdoor shower and you'll never want to bathe indoors again. We provide games, books, beach chairs, cooler, gas grill, and the only at-home shuffleboard court on the island!

Our family is now on its third generation of Oak Island lovers and vacationers and we own multiple properties on the water (contact us if you'd also like a second house just steps away). We know the nooks and crannies of the island that others don't and love it as much for what it lacks (the noise and craziness of places like Myrtle-beach) as for what it offers (endless walks, creek kayaking, fishing for all ages, sea turtles and night-crab hunting, swimming, shelling, ferry trips, and the best fresh shrimp anywhere). We are on the beach and also a three-minute walk across the street to beautiful Davis Canal, for easy kayaking and fishing access. We purposely chose the West End of the island years ago for its beauty, openness and proximity to the Point (an excellent walking destination to view the end of the island and all that nature it has to offer).

Oak Island has been my special place for most of my life. It's my goal for every family who stays with us to leave with lifelong memories and a strong desire to return. Before we rent any property ( in NC & elsewhere) we stay there ourselves, to ensure it's as perfect as it can be.
