Offering some low-frills accommodations here for easy-going travelers who just need a place to lay their heads. You get a bed, heat, hot water, sheets, blankets, and a roof over your head, plus access to the kitchen and two bathrooms. In other words, a great deal!

Over the past 10 years, we've hosted hundreds (thousands?) of travelers from all over the world. Our goal is to provide affordable accommodations for those on a tight budget, and we think you get a lot for the price. If you want to the Taj Mahal, keep looking. If you want a place to sleep that won't break the bank, this is it. We try to keep a pretty nice place, but please keep in mind these are budget accommodations. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised! =)

We love our neighborhood! It's close to several restaurants, convenience stores, and coffee shops. And it's a short bus/bike ride to the Eastman School of Music, George Eastman House, Modern Art Gallery, Downtown Rochester, Visual Studies Workshop, the Armory, the Auditorium Theater, and the Riverside Convention Center.

Coming from all ages and walks of life, RocHostel spans eight spacious houses (all clustered together) and consists of 20 full-time residents, two cats, and a bunny rabbit- all passionate about sustainability, social justice, community-building, and making the world a better place in general. We have a large and continually expanding garden, are active in our community, organize various events throughout the month, and operate RocHostel where we provide guests like you with budget-friendly accommodations and help them to make the most out of their visits to Rochester.
