Welcome to Monarch Cottage, a classic chalet with modern updates in wooded Locust Lake Village. Simply the coziest place to get away in the Pocono Mountains!

Fully stocked with sheets, towels, soft blankets and ready for your getaway! Featuring 3 bedrooms, including an expansive 4-bed bunk room with a TV lounge. The sun-soaked great room and large deck provide plenty of space for the whole gang to spread out. Steps away from 3 private community lakes with sandy beaches, swimming, and fishing.

Lo spazio

Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the living and dining areas with natural sunlight. Soaring vaulted ceilings add to the light and airy feeling. A stone fireplace adds warmth and coziness. Part rustic mountain cabin, part and stylish modern getaway. Curl up here in the evenings with a glass of wine next to the crackling fire. This is the mountains, so you'll be tempted to use the fireplace year-round.  There’s also a cozy reading nook that can be used as an office.

The fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and whimsically bright blue shelving is perfect for preparing meals for a large group, plus the vintage Danish teak table extends to provide seating for 10. Pour yourself a glass of wine from one of the Poconos' local vineyards as you whip up something delicious! There’s a gas BBQ just outside on the spacious deck where you can grill year-round— local tip: check out The Butcher Shoppe down the road— and an outdoor dining table for alfresco meals.

“This is a true gem of a place. The space has every amenity you could possibly need- Bluetooth speaker, cooking gear, temperature controlled rooms, and it is gorgeously decorated with tons of charm. Don’t miss out on this one!” -- Robert, architect, October 2020

Down a short hallway, two well-designed bedrooms offer plenty of privacy and peace. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and en-suite half bath, while the second bedroom has an antique full-size bed. Each bedroom includes:

• Pristine, high-quality linens
• A unique wallpaper feature wall
• Super-soft accent pillows and throws
• New memory-foam mattresses

Upstairs in the lofted space is a super-cool, camp-like bunk room that will be a hit with folks of all ages. Four built-in, twin-size beds each have their own reading lights and cell phone charging docks.

A hangout space has a sofa, bean bag chairs, and a flatscreen TV. Plus, old school Atari games, Pac-Man, and lots of board games to keep guests of all ages busy on rainy days.

“Our two young kids loved the loft— especially the toys and books that kept them entertained for hours!” - Amanda, June 2020

A fire pit in the backyard is perfect for roasting gooey s’ mores in the twilight. A treehouse provides plenty of exploring adventures for the little ones.

When your crew is ready to go exploring, the sandy shores of Pines Lake are steps away from your front door, and Locust & East Lakes are only a 2 minute drive. Your whole family will love swimming, fishing, and soaking up the sunshine. And the Locust Lake Village (LLV) community always has some fun events planned.

Access all that LLV community has to offer:

• Playgrounds
• Tennis courts
• Special events include bonfires, barbeques, concerts, bingo, and fishing. (note: group activities are temporarily suspended in 2020)
• Winter fun includes a ski hill with a rope tow, sledding, and ice fishing (weather permitting).

At the end of the day, spread out over 3 comfy bedrooms (sleep 8).

Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania, Stati Uniti

Locust Lake Village is a sleepy mountain community in the heart of the Poconos mountains, and you're ideally situated to enjoy northeastern Pennsylvania's famous local skiing, tubing, and waterparks! You’ll be 15 minutes from Jack Frost, 20 minutes from Big Boulder Mountain, and less than 25 minutes from Camelback Mountain. Plus Kalahari Water Park, the largest in the US, is only 15 minutes away! Enjoy a day of adventure in the Poconos and then return to Monarch Cottage, your snug mountain retreat, to whip up a meal in the well-appointed kitchen and relax with your family.

World-renowned Pocono Raceway, aka ‘The Tricky Triangle’ is only 10 miles from Monarch Cottage. You’re only minutes away from world-class racing excitement! On non-race weekends, speed enthusiasts can get a taste of the action with a thrilling Stock Car Racing Experience and behind-the-scenes track tours.

If you’re in search of more entertainment, Mount Airy Casino is only 30 minutes away. Slots along with table games are plentiful at this energetic casino where, aside from gambling, you can catch concerts and other entertaining shows, plus a great spa.

The Poconos is truly a four-season destination and there’s always something new to explore! Other local attractions include:

-Jim Thorpe. The historic town, just under 40 minutes away, features the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center which details coal mining history and the life of the town's namesake, Native American athlete Jim Thorpe. Stroll the quaint Main Street, window shop, enjoy great local restaurants.

-Scranton – Electric City! There’s more to Scranton than just Dunder Mifflin (aka the headquarters of ‘The Office). Families love the Electric City Aquarium, Steamtown National Historic Site (trains!) and the Lackawanna Coal Mine tour (ride in a coal car, imagine you’re in Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom…? Okay, just us. That’s cool).

--Hiking –
Enjoy the fresh air and abundant trails! The Poconos offers hiking experiences for those with any level of fitness or ability, from a short stroll around a lovely lake (nearby Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area is minutes away) to a more rugged trail at nearby Tobyhanna State Park or Hickory Run State Park or Big Pocono State Park. Or drive less than a half hour and jump onto the 28-miles of Appalachian Trail within the Delaware Water Gap.

We highly recommend spending a day exploring the Bushkill Falls, one of Poconos’ loveliest locations. Open seasonally, this park contains a series of 8 waterfalls connected by wooded hiking trails and bridges.

The Poconos is well-known for its world class whitewater! Enjoy dam-release weekends on the Lehigh River for extra thrills, or choose a calmer rafting experience that's fine for family members ages 4 to 94.

Have a rainy day? No worries! The Crossings Premium Outlets is only 25 minutes away in Tannersville.
