The rooms are situated in a substantial Victorian villa with a large driveway. The location is 5 minutes walk from Abergavenny bus and train stations and a few minutes drive from the A40 and A465.

The property benefits from the most beautiful views of the local hills, the Blorenge, Sugarloaf and Skirrid. There is a pathway a stones throw from the house, taking you to the river Usk and the surrounding meadow. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, anglers and those who’ll brave it for wild swimming.

The space has its own private doorway, with a hall, and a dedicated kitchen with table and chairs, seating 4 but with additional chairs available on request. It gives you the flexibility to use it for a short stay or the option of self catering, longer. Plus there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Please note there is no living room and the kitchen has no grill or oven but does have a microwave and single induction hob.

The decor is modern traditional. The beds have 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets with softly washed crushed French linen duvets which are therefore not crisply ironed.

The bathroom is very spacious with a Victorian style enamel claw foot bath and separate shower cubicle.

The en-suite is also spacious.

The Scottish Fine Soaps Company, gorgeous sea kelp bathroom products are provided for you.

The views from all bedrooms are breathtaking.

You will be sharing the hallways, stairs, landings and the kitchen with your friends/family. Your space is attached but separated by locked doors from our living space.

Your outside space consists of a small patio in the front of the house, which is adjacent to your entrance to the property. There is a picnic bench for your use. The driveway is large enough for several cars and there is a small area of lawn that you may use. Please note there may be some traffic noise whilst outside. This is not audible inside due to double glazed windows. Also as the front gate to the drive remains permanently open, young children should always be supervised in the front of the property.

Your access is limited to the driveway or front garden as our dogs may be in the rear garden and we don’t wish them to be disturbed.

We are very lucky to have a bee colony on our driveway. We are committed to protecting these bees but please be aware should you have any allergies.

Access to the house is via keyless entry.

Altre cose da tenere a mente
The Rule of 6 came into force in Wales on Monday 14th September. At the time of writing (14th September) there doesn’t appear to be any official advice for self contained air BnB’s. As the accommodation is self contained the only stipulation is that all guests must be members of the same or extended household.

We love living here as we have the best of both worlds. We have the beautiful countryside on our doorstep but are within minutes from the town centre. We also have close links to the M4 and M50.

Our town has a lot to offer it’s community and visitors, with independent shops, and restaurants, most notably The Hardwick under chef Stephen Terry, and the towns newly opened The Gaff. Not forgetting the Michelin Star holding Walnut Tree Inn in a neighbouring village.

The calendar is also full of exciting features such as the Abergavenny Festival of Cycling, the acclaimed Abergavenny Food Festival and for music lovers the Greenman Festival is held not too far away. The town also boasts its own vineyard at the foot of the Sugarloaf and 2 golf courses.

For those who want to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surrounding hills there are numerous walks in every direction. Some are more challenging than others but there is something to suit everyone.

There really is so much to do in our friendly town, which also boasts a castle and a canal, which is perfect for messing about on the water and not forgetting all this takes place in the surroundings of the outstanding Brecon Beacons National Park.
