The spacious kitchen with its double doors from the hallway provides a convivial setting for a meal or snack and the good sized bedrooms are very comfortably furnished.
The distinctive shape of Bennachie is easily visible from the house and here there are excellent walks up to its nine summits which reward you with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Trails vary from a gentle route though the woodland to demanding treks in open country, and in the visitor centre you can find out all about its history and wildlife. If walking is not your thing there is a vast range of activities in the area, from excellent golf courses, to the famous Castle Trail, there are more castles per acre here than in any other region of the UK. Enjoy a trip to the bustling market town of Inverurie with its good shops and restaurants or head east to the beautiful coastline at Collieston and Cruden Bay. Country parks, art galleries and wonderful local produce are a feature of Aberdeenshire and there are plenty to visit close by. Shop and pub 3 miles, restaurant ½ mile.
