We live in a very old stone house in a beautiful spot just below National Trust Rodborough Common, classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are lovely walks from our doorstep, up onto the common, or down by the canal, The Cotswold Way runs close by and the famous Prince Albert Pub, with live music, is a short evening stroll down the laneway.
Stroud has a wonderful Award winning Farmers Market on Saturday and vintage market on a Friday.

Lo spazio
We live in a lovely old stone cottage dating right back to the 1600’s. There is a deep stone well in the garden, that is as old as the origin of the house as a Dairy Farmhouse.
It has thick stone walls with a restored, large inglnook fireplace and wood burning stove to enjoy through the colder months, the bread oven being now only a decorative feature.
We are a well travelled couple and you will find the decor reflected in this, throughout the house. We have up cycled some of our furniture and generally try to live in a sustainable way.
Please bear in mind that because of its exposed stone walls and old beams there is always a small amount of dust. Please be aware of this if you are Asthmatic.
All the rooms have beams but the guest room has the most beautiful ones.It is furnished with an eclectic mix of pieces, collected from China to the Cotswolds, with an upcycled wardrobe, a sofa bed to relax on and a table by the window, should you need somewhere to work. Every piece has its own story down right down to the old blue and red hand stitched quilt.
The iron framed, double bed has an eco mattress, feather and down quilt and lots of comfy pillows, for a restful sleep.
Bed linen and towels are washed in eco friendly laundry liquid, as we choose to make a lighter touch on our environment.
We have restored and designed our garden to be a haven for wildlife, being seen at its best in May, through to September. Roses, lavender, clematis and naturally growing ferns give the garden a calming and relaxing charm to be indulged in.
Old houses are a lifetimes work and your bookings are supporting us in continuing to do this, making it a second home that you will want to come back to again and again.

Dove ti troverai

Gloucestershire, Inghilterra, Regno Unito

We live in a small, quiet neighbourhood with lovely views across the valley.
Parking is always at a premium but fortunately we are able to offer an angled space in our private parking area.
It is walkers paradise, as it is only a couple of minutes walk from our front gate up on to the common and onwards to some great pubs or down by the ongoing restoration of the canal. It only a 15mins walk into Stroud Town Centre, where there is a great mix of cafes, coffee houses, pubs and shops. The Saturday Farmers Market is a treat for foodies and lovers of all hand makers delights.

Hi, I am a semi retired Teacher turned Glass Artist, living in an area of outstanding beauty, just outside Stroud in Gloucestershire. I am passionate about working with glass and find my true inspiration comes from the natural world. I love to make garden sculptures that capture the sunlight and add a beautiful statement to an outdoor living area. I also love teaching and encouraging the artist within others, getting great pleasure from being a part of someone else’s journey. I enjoy many types of art and music, DIY, reading and cooking. I’m also a first time Nana and am just loving spending time with our gorgeous granddaughter. Each year I am part The Stroud Select Arts Trail where my house and gardens are open to the public for 2 weekends in May. I put on an Exhibition of my work together with other artists. My work is posted on (Hidden by Airbnb) under C (Website hidden by Airbnb) on my website.

Durante il tuo soggiorno
Kevin and I are well travelled, very friendly people and enjoy interacting with guests, if that is what they would like to do.
However we also understand that sometimes we all need some quiet space to ourselves. The choice is yours.
