Originally from Holland I relocated to Canada in 1980 to the beautiful Bay of Quinte region.
My European inspired home of 13 years is situated on the romantic and mystical Moira river, a beautiful backyard with rockgardens, flowers and romantic sunsets while enjoying the screened in gazebo.
When I'm not working I love to travel south and to Europe. Weekends away, live music, or just enjoying the simple things of nature.
I have been renovating my house for more than 14 years and will never stop as I always find beautiful projects to make. I have been planting perennials and annuals in my yard to my add to my beautiful water View.
I enjoy sharing my home with couples that appreciate my hard work into my home and gardens with the view of the Moira River. Giving them a home away from home to come and relax and have a romantic stay, sitting on my deck by candle light.
Also enjoy Sandbanks Provincial Park beach (45 min) wineries, breweries, nature and arts in the county or Signal Brewery just minutes north of my place.
Also surrounded by 4 golf courses called Bayview golf centre, Black Bear Ridge, Trillium Wood and Bay of Quinte Golf Club.
I have met some amazing couples and looking forward to sharing my home with many more.
And I hope I can make your next stay a special one too!
I have now renovated a second larger bedroom with a unique Egyptian theme!
"Moira River Waterview from the upper deck gazebo" is the larger upper level (2 bedrooms) of a 2 storey house.
"Moira River Waterview suite & gazebo on the water", is the first floor downstairs (1 bedroom, 2 people max), and is a completely separate and self-contained part of the large house.
Both the upper and lower levels are completely self-contained and separate except for a shared front foyer entrance. The large surrounding yard is a shared space. People renting just the lower unit have their own private water level gazebo. When the lower level is not also booked the owners do live there on the premises, but they respect the privacy of any guests. We do mention this in several sections of our listing as we do find the odd individuals do not carefully read everything and become confused.
If you wish total privacy and wish the entire home, please book "El Casa Carola" (This would give you three bedrooms in total for a maximum of 6 people ONLY, as well as both gazebos). El Casa Carola is NOT FOR LARGE gatherings beyond this number, parties etc... Bookings for more than 6 people are not permitted and extra guests are not permitted on the property at any time. Only the proper "paid" guests are expected to be on the premises at ANY time!
