This entirely redone, adorable apartment features automotive themed collectibles and vintage finds, black & white photos, car part art & furniture. Custom made pillowcases and duvet covers portray the ultimate road trip. Play the license plate game you played riding in the backseat as a kid, with our collection of license plates.
The boomerang countertops welcome you in a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor patio, grill and fire pit will help you create lasting memories of your next road trip.

Lo spazio
Ozzie’s Hideaway is an entire apartment attached to a warehouse we use for storage and artist studio space, with separate entrances. The property is situated on an “island” triangle shaped lot, so there are no neighbors close by, you will feel like you are in your own private park.

Accesso per gli ospiti
You will have exclusive access to the entire ground level apartment. The concrete patio and shaded yard are there for your enjoyment. There is plenty of room for parking if you have an oversized vehicle or are towing a trailer or boat, but the apartment only sleeps 2 in a queen bed. Local zoning prohibits staying in recreational vehicles on the property. A patio firepit and charcoal grill are available, bring your own supplies.

Altre cose da tenere a mente
There are several publicly accessible beaches, including Warren Dunes State Park (which also has some great climbing dunes) and Weko Beach Township Park in Bridgman, both of which have plenty of parking right at the beach, and public amenities including bathrooms and food stands. The Harbert Rd. Beach and Cherry Beach have limited to no parking and no bathroom facilities, but they are free and if you enjoy a walk or bike ride of 1.5-2 miles you will see what it is that we love about living here - trees, dunes, charming little cottages, friendly people, mom and pop shops, fruit stands, organic farms, wineries, the list goes on...

Our area also features several wonderful natural areas: Warren Woods, a climax beech/maple forest; Chikaming Park and Preserve; Harbert Rd. Preserve; Robinson and Flynn Woods; Sima Marsh and the Galien River County Park near New Buffalo, and the Jens Jensen and adjoining Pepperidge Dunes Preserves less than a mile away. All are publicly accessible, free, and have great hiking paths.

The towns of Harbert and Sawyer are quite close and offer a garden market, restaurants, Infusco coffee, Greenbush Brewery, antiques, and galleries. Three Oaks is only about 5 miles south. The Acorn Theater featuring live entertainment and Vickers Theater, showing mostly independent films in an intimate setting. We recommend Viola’s for breakfast or lunch, Staymaker and Journeyman Distillery are also popular restaurants. Lakeside, Union Pier and New Buffalo are also within short drives. The self guided bicycle tours are lovely, though we recommend staying off Three Oaks Rd. and Red Arrow Highway as much as possible. A number of routes have been identified and marked by the Friends of Harbor Country Trails and Three Oaks Spokes.

There are a number of wineries in the area that offer delightful views of the countryside and good tasting and eating experiences. Round Barn and Tabor Hill are located in nearby Baroda. There are also companies with small tour busses that will take you to the wineries.

But truthfully, the best experience is to be away from it all, enjoy the sounds of the birds and wildlife, the wind in the trees and the absence of the noise and bustle of the city.

The tree lined streets surround the private setting of Ozzie’s Hideaway, making it a perfect place for a relaxing walk, there is a train track nearby that has a few trains rumbling thru a day, we think it is part of the country charm, and the building is pretty well sound insulated.
