An architectural award winning property, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac at the foot of Table Mountain, bordering the Table Mountain Nature reserve, with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean, this gorgeous little apartment is a piece of paradise.

10 minutes drive from the city centre and a 5 minute drive to the beach, it’s ideally positioned to explore Cape Town’s main attractions. Perfect for nature lovers, hikers and beachcombers.

A small but spacious studio apartment with an emphasis on laid back simplicity, comfort and style. Open plan living with all the modern conveniences and an eco-lodge feel to it, with natural and sustainable finishes and luxurious cotton and linen bedding. Expect to be enchanted by magnificent views and natural surroundings.

We take environmental issues very seriously and encourage you to do the same whilst visiting this beautiful country of ours.
We have solar power, so are not reliant on our very unreliable government power utility, which can impose up to three 2 1/2 hour power outages a day. A real bonus for working remotely.
Our municipal water is safe to drink and we also have a borehole harvesting fresh spring water from Table Mountain.
I don’t supply bottled mineral water, but there will be spring water in a glass bottle in the fridge, with more on tap outside the apartment.
I provide organic, biodegradable cosmetics and cleaning products.
I provide reusable shopping bags.
The refuse bags are biodegradable.
I provide a coffee plunger as opposed to a coffee pod machine.

There is also the option of sharing my studio space for an artist in residency experience. Please enquire about this if you are interested.
I also have another small apartment on the property which can be booked simultaneously if available.

Camps Bay is one of the most beautiful suburbs in the country, famous for its magnificent beaches, views and mountain access. Our property, set high above the often hectically busy beachfront and surrounded by nature, belies the fact that you are within minutes of one of South Africa’s biggest cities.
Table Mountain National Park borders our property with many beautiful hiking routes to choose from. It is possible to hike to the top of Table Mountain or Lions Head straight from the apartment.
The whole of the Cape Peninsular is within an hours drive of us, and the Cape Winelands is not much further.
Explore our beautiful city, enjoy our magnificent beaches and nature reserves or simply relax on the verandah and soak in the view and the sunshine.

I am a ceramic artist and teacher and work from my studio at home in Cape Town. I feel blessed to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and enjoy hiking on Table Mountain and walking my dogs on its pristine beaches. My favourite place to spend a weekend or holiday is at our holiday cottage in Arniston, where in summer we swim and surf in the warm Indian Ocean and enjoy the unspoilt beauty of the surrounding countryside, and in winter we watch the whales come in to calve and frollick within meters of the shore. Our summer evenings are spent around a 'Braai' or barbeque and in winter in front of our huge fireplace with good friends and family. I feel at one with the world when I am close to nature and enjoy making friends with interesting people in interesting places, who live life with passion and integrity.

We live on the property but the apartment is separate and private. We are available to settle you in and attend to your needs but respect your privacy.

Please let me know in advance what your interests are with regards to activities, dining or sight seeing and I will endeavor to help you plan your trip.
I am a ceramic artist, hiker and nature lover. I also love to travel, especially in Africa, so I have a good understanding of the merits of getting local, inside knowledge and help in planning a trip from people who know and love the place I am visiting. I have lived in Cape Town most of my life and really enjoy helping travelers get the most out of their time here. My daughter is a chef and has worked in several of our top restaurants, and we make it our job to try as many new places as we can, so we are well positioned to help you to select some great dining experiences.
We also have a Holiday Cottage in Arniston, a beautiful historic fishing village about 2 1/2 hours drive away, with the most exquisite unspoiled beaches, and warm Atlantic Ocean. The perfect place to watch whales between July and November, and perfect for a summer beach break, so have a look at our Arniston Holiday Cottage listing as well.
There will also be books and brochures in the apartment to inspire you.
