Milford House is a villa type house all on one level and is situated in the middle of the 'village'. So close to cafes, restaurants, banks, shopping mall, buses and beautiful Milford beach. It was built by a German craftsman for his family over a hundred years ago. The North Shore is linked to Auckland by the harbor bridge.
Milford Beach is a beautiful sandy beach with Rangitoto Island (a great place to visit) in view.
Milford is one of the most sought after areas in Auckland.

The neighbourhood has a good ambience and has a variety of large homes. Milford is one of the 'top' real estate areas in New Zealand. Everything is in Milford that you could want. All within a few steps from Milford House. Great for folk who cannot walk very far.

Liz and Jim have been hosting guests in both England and New Zealand for more than thirty years: " We like meeting people from all over the world and know how to communicate with guests from different countries even though we might not speak the same language!
We like to make sure all our guests feel at home but we also understand the importance of having your own privacy with your own room, TV and bathroom.
Your bedroom is a large queen sized room with en-suite which has shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels, plus hair dryer. Electric blanket on the bed plus heating for the colder nights. You have your own flat screen TV, double wardrobe and a window seat on which to relax. We service your room each day when you are away, so you come back to fresh towels and bed remade etc. There is a large flat screen TV in the lounge. A feature gas open fire for winter evenings.
The dining room has its own stocked up fridge, a microwave, kettle and toaster. There will be cereals, yoghurt, juice, fresh fruit, toast, jams, cheeses, condiments plus an assortments of teas and coffee. We can cater to any dietary needs upon prior request.
Every room has its own unique ornate high ceiling as Milford House was built over 120 years ago and therefore still has the ambience and atmosphere of yesteryear. There is also another queen size bedroom with private bathroom available, for friends or family (rate to be negotiated upon enquiry/booking).
These rooms are for guests as we have our own living area at the back of the main house.

There is off road parking for your car and free Wi-Fi. All the amenities you would ever need are just across the road from us. A large choice of cafes and restaurants, plus a shopping mall with boutique fashion shops, banks, two supermarkets, and buses which go straight into the city. There is also the added bonus of beautiful Milford Beach about 300 metres away from our door. Lake Pupuke, an extinct volcano filled with water, is within a very short walk from Milford House. Takapuna, with its night life and high class eateries, is an easy flat walk away (15-25 mins. depending on how fast you walk - or run!)
We are located in Milford Rd, Milford - seaward side.
We love meeting people, our grand-children (pictured with us), family and friends, laughter, good food, wine.
