This unique historical Lodge is located at 41489 Colorado State Highway 125 in the town of Cowdrey in Jackson County, Colorado. The property has historically operated as a Lodge, Restaurant and General Store in one of the premier tourism, fishing and hunting regions of Colorado. The property consists of a 3 bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom Lodge totaling 3,000 square feet on two stories, a 1,500 square foot basement, a full attached bathhouse totaling 60 square feet and an office/retail building totaling 289 square feet. The improvements were constructed in 1927 and a total renovation, including structural improvements, new plumbing, heating, electrical and the highest quality of finishes was completed in 2013. The property commands a location in the town of Cowdrey in Jackson County Colorado. Commonly known as "North Park", Jackson County is a high, isolated, inter-mountain basin that lies in the northern tier of Colorado. Forming the headwaters of the North Platte River, the basin opens north into Wyoming. The valley of North Park is interspersed with many slow meandering streams that come together in the north central part of the county to form the North Platte River. Main tributary rivers to the North Platte are the Michigan, Illinois, Canadian and Grizzly Rivers. Rimmed on the west by the Park Range and on the east by the Medicine Bow Mountains, the elevation ranges from 7,800 to 12,953 feet above sea level.

In the words of the 1886 Colorado Supreme Court, "Within the embrace of these two ranges lies what is known as North Park, walled in by the Medicine Bow range upon the east, by the main range upon the south and west, and by a series of secondary mountains and hills upon the north. It is elliptical in form, and a principality in extent, rich in soil, luxuriant in pasturage, and supreme in the grace and beauty of its valleys, and the grandeur of its mountain architecture. It holds within its ample compass the abounding springs which feed the head-waters of the North Platte, which here has its rise, and which, gathering together its mountain affluent, forces a passage through the northern rim of the park, on its way to the Gulf."

A major portion of the bottom land along streams is irrigated hay meadow and irrigated pasture, while the low rises between streams are dry grassland and sagebrush grazing lands. The picture changes suddenly on the edges of the basin where the land pitches abruptly upward to the mountain tops. Hill slopes are heavily clothed with aspen, spruce, pine, and fir up to timberline at about 11,000 feet, then tundra and rock to the mountain summits.

The total area of Jackson County is 1628 square miles, slightly smaller than the state of Delaware. Of this acreage, 4,096 acres is water, excluding the streams. In the county there are more than 120,000 acres of irrigated hay meadow and irrigated pasture land. These irrigated lands make up approximately 12% of total County area.

In terms of regional location, Jackson County lies about 130 miles northwest of Denver, 60 miles southwest of Laramie, WY and 60 miles northeast Steamboat Springs, CO.
