Ta Tina is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the magic of Gozo. You’ll love Ta Tina due to its proximity to the sea and beaches, the wonderful unobstructed views of the open countryside and sea from all bedrooms, its private pool and terrace and the overall bright, sunny and cheerful layout. Read your book by the large window overlooking the pool, relax by the pool on the sunbeds or hike in the pristine countryside. Ta Tina is great for couples, solo adventurers, or families with kids.

Dove ti troverai

Qala, Malta

Gozo is a wonderful island, is a really quite different from Malta as it is peaceful and quiet. It is reachable from Malta by the Gozo ferry, which runs every 45 close to around the clock. It is very punctual, you pay for the ferry on the return trip – so no need to pay on the way up. You can find the ferry schedule on www.gozochannel.com.

Malta has lots of wonderful Mediterranean food – good seafood, and also an Italian flavour as well. We have lots of excellent restaurants on the islands, and in Gozo some of the best restaurants are in Mgarr and Xlendi for very good seafood Tmun in Mgarr and Ta Carolina in Xlendi. There are also good restaurants in the town of Qala close to Ta Gola [5 minutes away], such as the D Bar for good ribs and steaks, and Vestru for good pizza. Marsalforn restaurants are also good – our favourite is Otters at the end of the bay right on the sea.

There are a couple of good bakers in Nadur, which have really nice Maltese pizza’s [called ftira’s] – one baker is called Maxokk and the other is called Mekrens [the better option as they have a lovely large traditional wood burning oven for fresh bread and pizza], Mekrens is on the road from nadur to Ramla right at the beginning on the right hand side.

Your closest beach is Dhalet Qorrot at the bottom of the road, or alternatively Hondoq beach on the other side of Qala. There is also a lovely beach called San Blas, down San Blas road from Nadur. It is a 15 minute walk down the hill… but if you are lazy in summer, the man who runs the small kiosk on the beach will drive you up for a couple of euro in his jeep. He also has BBQs and good beach food.

There is lots to see and do on the islands, for sure you have to see the prehistoric temples in Xaghra called Gigantija, and also spend some quiet time wandering around the old Citadel in Victoria. When in the Citadel drop into Riccardo’s for a platter of Maltese cheeses, olives, sun dried tomatoes and fresh bread.

There are lots of wonderful hikes close by ….. There are lots of lovely walks around Nadur and Qala. There is also a lovely walk around the Qala point, starting from home, and then left along the road that goes along the cliff edge – past the horse riding farm, to the end of the Qala point and Hondoq chapel.

You do need to go to Malta once or twice – must see’s in Malta are: Mdina – the walled silent city, as well as Valletta, the 2018 European City of culture.
