Ellie and Jay are the founders of The Gentle Barn founded in 1999, a national organization that is home to hundreds of animals and has hosted over 400,000 visitors. Ellie and Jay both struggled as children and were strengthened and inspired by the love of animals. With their first hand knowledge of the healing power of animals, Ellie and Jay wanted to dedicate the rest of their lives by paying it forward, saving animals and healing people. They love animals so much that they've been vegan for 20yrs and work hard everyday to instill that same passion for nature and animals and the hearts of the people that visit. Ellie and Jay would love to invite you to come experience The Gentle Barn and their wonderful animals.

The Gentle Barn
The Gentle Barn rescues animals from severe abuse and neglect who are too old, sick, scared to be adopted into homes. The Gentle Barn's mission is, "Teaching kindness and compassion to animals, each other and our planet". It is open to the public on Sundays for guests to hug the cows, give the pigs tummy rubs, cuddle the turkeys, feed the horses, hold the chickens, and learn their stories.
