This is a 3-mile walk off-road walk over an extensive area of moorland south of Carn Galver in West Penwith Cornwall. The moorland is a beautiful natural environment today but what people do not anticipate is that it was once a hive of activity within the Bronze Age. We will visit along the route a number of ancient sites, including stone circles, a Bronze Age village and barrows to name a few many of these are off the beaten track and allow you to experience an unspoilt and unique environment which is away from the usual walking tours. At each site I will build up a picture of the people who inhabited this now forgotten area of Cornwall, talking about how they lived, worked and some of their ritual practices. As part of the walk, we will walk in the footsteps of people from 4000 years ago and follow a bronze age processional route which is little known about, I will be able to explain why this processional route is located as it was. I hope to inspire you all to look at the landscape with fresh eyes and take news skills home of things to look out for which may have been left by ancient people.
