Tequila 101 - Everything you ever wanted to know and learn about Tequila, from the farming to manufacturing, history and then sample each type. Learn how to avoid that “Tequila hangover”, learn the difference between Tequila and Mezcal (which ones have the worm and why? Or is it even a worm?). We discuss the process from the agave plant on the farm to the process of making Blanco, Reposado and Anejo (and learn what’s the difference and TASTE the difference). You will learn why Margaritas aren’t really served in Mexico (except in Americanized resorts - is it an American drink?). We’ll also share some authentic Mexican Tequila drinks and classic cocktails that you might enjoy even more than a Margarita - and we’ll divulge the origin of the frozen Margarita - a true American invention. Being in Central America and just across the bay from Mexico, we have tequila masters that will show you how to make the perfect Margarita (and other more authentic Tequila cocktails), then send you home with the recipes so you can impress your friends. Class includes: 4 tequila shots (half-sized) small refreshments and a tequila cocktail to celebrate your class graduation.

In the US, I owned a large comedy club with a Tex-Mex restaurant. We had Tequila classes every Wednesday night for many years (I owned the restaurant for 8.5 years). We had guests speakers; From tequila distributors, to producers from Mexico, each teaching me all about Tequila, as well as learning myself on numerous visits to Mexico. Attendees will learn history of tequila making, history of the Margarita, what a Paloma and a Cantarita are and how they differ from a Margarita. Attendees learn the difference between Mezcal and Tequila and the difference between Blanco, Reposado and Anejo, and how each is aged. The best (& most fun) way to learn is by sampling! We'll give you some great recipes for historical tequila drinks & teach you how enjoy them while avoiding that “tequila hangover". Graduation is a tequila cocktail of choice!

Dove ti troverai
We will experience this overlooking the local neighborhood streets of San Pedro. I own the only non-Belizean owned restaurant in this “locals-only” area of town, so guests can enjoy a comfortable American owned and operated restaurant & bar while they experience the true authentic feel of a local Belizean neighborhood, while they learn about Tequila, it’s history, differences and how to enjoy it properly.
