Take your yoga to the water for a naturally socially distanced, outdoor experience! Join Gloria Owens for a fun & relaxing SUP Yoga Class on a local saltwater inlet in the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island area in South Carolina. SUP Yoga will challenge your balance, expand your mind and attune to nature! Gloria will meet you at a launch spot where we'll review safety and basic paddling techniques. Depending on the conditions, we'll paddle for 5-10 min to find an ideal spot for yoga. You'll learn yoga poses and transitions on the board; starting simple and then seeing where our practice leads as you build confidence. There’s nothing quite like a sublime floating relaxation on the water! Prepare to get wet, breathe, stretch and have fun!

SUP Yoga is for you if:
– You are comfortable around the water and are able to swim.
– You already have some yoga experience or are a relatively fit beginner.
– You can come with an attitude of curiosity, patience and adventure.
- If you're willing to "go with the flow" of tides, wind, etc.

Your 1.5 - 2hr SUP experience includes:
– All equipment, including boards, paddles, PFDs, leash, etc.
– Instruction & safe practices for launching, getting up on the board, paddling & navigating, etc.
– A guided SUP yoga class, tailored to your needs & experience.

We'll be exploring one of the saltwater marshes or inlets in the low country. You'll be mostly surrounded by spartina grass, oyster beds, water & sky! Gloria has scoped out the best spots for launching, paddling, and SUP yoga, depending on the weather conditions, tides, wind, sun, your skill level, etc. Along the way we may discover herons, egrets, dolphins and more!

This was INCREDIBLE! It felt like we were just paddling and doing yoga with a yogi friend. We love Gloria. She was so warm and welcoming. She made everything so easy. She communicated with us frequently both before the experience and during. Wouldn’t change a thing!

What an amazing experience! This was beyond my expectations and I couldn’t ask for more! We went off from the Lake Lillinonah on a beautiful morning and did paddling, yoga and even some swimming. If you are into yoga and paddling, this is a must do! What could beat a shavasana on the paddle board, floating in the water gently, your hands and feet are in the water and when you open your eyes you see a beautiful sky! It felt magical. Also Gloria is the perfect host and instructor. Communication with her was flawless all the way from booking and planning to meeting in the morning. She was very flexible, you suggested different times and locations and she was ready to adjust due to weather conditions. She has been an amazing instructor and I felt like I made a friend after my session. The experience itself is great, but what made it unique was Gloria’s positive attitude, knowledge and generosity. I will do another time for sure and I highly highly recommend it!

Cosa portare

Wear a bathing suit, and/or optional board shorts, surf shirt and sunscreen. Wear water shoes (Teva sandals, Keenes, etc.) Bring a Water bottle, sunglasses, visor, etc. Gloria recommends a floating cord for sunglasses. Bring a towel and dry clothes.
Plan to leave you phone, keys, wallet, etc. on dry land unless you have a floating waterproof case or want to use mine.
