I'm of Māori heritage. My great-great-great-grandparents were among the first people to settle in Central Otago. I have a deep love for this area and a strong connection to it and an even stronger connection to the wines in it as well. I want to share my passion for Māori culture and our local wines and offer you a personal journey through our history and region. I support the 'Tiaki Promise' :we encourage international and domestic travellers to experience Aotearoa NZ in a way that keeps everyone safe, protects our environment, respects our culture and protects NZ for future generations.

We had a wonderful experience with Joe. He was very genuine and explained all aspects of Maori culture as well as the history and geography of the region. He had excellent relationships with the wineries and took us to two unplanned points of interest. We were comfortable and he was attentive to our safety and needs.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon of wine tasting at 3 lovely wineries. But what made this experience special was Joe’s knowledge of the Maori history in this part of New Zealand. We learned a lot about Maori culture and history. Joe is very knowledgeable, friendly and a good storyteller.

Amazing experience! Wonderful wine!! . Joe is fabulous :) He made us feel welcome from the moment he picked us up and had such a unique description of the Maori culture along the way that I don't think we could have gotten anywhere else. His selection if wineries were well chosen -- we didn't feel like we were at the same one twice. He even did a haka dance for us to close out our experience, which was very moving. 100% recommend this experience!

Maori cultural and personal wine tastings at selected vineyards. We had a wonderful experience with Joe and found some excellent wines to take home. Learning about the culture from a local was so much more personal and meaningful.
