Our walk starts with a scenic cliff-side trail which works its way down to our first beach - 'Mistra'. We leave the road at the far end of the bay to start a beautiful coastal section which passes St Paul's Islands. The trail here is fairly hilly and offers a fun mix of rock, gravel and clay surfaces. While it is not technically challenging and is perfectly suited for hikers of any level of experience, please note it does involve short sections of scrambling up and down semi-steep slopes. We eventually emerge at our second beach - the far quieter and less easily accessible, 'Imgiebah'. We can stop here for a short break to enjoy the view before starting our journey back inland. A narrow road winds its way back up the valley to the dominating feature in the Selmun area - Selmun Palace. We then follow a narrow passage back down the hill to Mistra Bay and finish off our panoramic loop to our starting point in Xemxija Bay.
