Cosa farete

"For all those who love dragons."
Dragon is popular in China, however, dragon is very familiar in Japan too.

Painting a dragon seems a challenge, but there is no problem!
Step by step, I will support you and teach you traditional methods for painting dragons. In this class I will present a brief, yet broad historical background about dragons. However, this class is never connected with any religion. You can take your time for practicing until you are satisfied. I provide you with a set of specific texts, so you can continue learning even after the lesson.

You will finish your work on a fine paper square board to take back with you. All materials are provided. After learning about them, you will appreciate the originality and ingenuity of old masterpieces.

Anyone can start to learn how to paint dragons in ink wash painting style. Beginners are very welcomed!

Painting dragons cheers you up! Please feel free to join us. --It's a special dragon lesson.

Painting dragons with Tomoko was one of the highlights of our trip. We left with beautiful dragons and full hearts. Her warm hospitality and kindness is hard to put into words. Tomoko is highly skilled and no matter what you will leave with a masterpiece you will treasure. She served us tea & treats it was all very thoughtful. She also gave us detailed materials about dragons that were very informative & fascinating.

I enjoyed the "dragons" class very much. Tomoko is a very patient, skilled teacher who is passionate about her subject . It was my first attempt at painting dragons and I didn't expect any kind of recognisable result from my first attempts. So I was a bit daunted when after a few preliminary exercises Tomoko handed me an already framed paper to paint my first dragon in. But thanks to Tomoko's guidance the result was not only a lot better than I would have imagined my first attempt to look like but there was a "real dragon" looking out of the frame in the end. I will visit her classes again if I have the chance.

Working with Tomoko was an absolute pleasure and delight. She is a very enabling and encouraging teacher. My finished product is a wonderful souvenir to take back to Australia. I love her philosophy of teaching the skills of traditional art to future generations. And I love dragons, of course.
