Don’t hesitate to book this trip if you want to see and learn about Puerto Rican history from the perspective of a multi generational fishing family from the area. Lots of personalization for your group. Roberto was a joyful and welcoming host. His first mate Pipo was a hit to!

This was such a cool experience. Roberto was an excellent tour guide that provided an inside look into Aguadilla that has so much history. The boat is really because it is wooden but the ride was very smooth. He provided delicious sandwiches and pastries for dessert plus beer which was very good. During our sunset cruise we saw beautiful beaches, we got to catch fish which was really cool and got to see a beautiful sunset. 100% recommend to anyone wanting to have so much fun!

We. Love. Pipo. and Roberto! My boyfriend and I stopped through Aguadilla on a road trip and I randomly picked Roberto's experience to do something romantic together. We were impressed! Not only is Roberto knowledgeable of the area (born and raised, baby!) he's also super caring, and just overall a great person to spend the afternoon with. Astutely aware of the environment, he navigated the waters with ease while catering to us very hospitably. He took lots of photos, got us pastries and sandwiches, and kept the drinks flowing. Certainly someone to feel comfortable with. We zipped around, saw a turtle (no whales, but nature is a crazy thing), and caught a few fish to feed the pelicans. It was a great experience working with someone who is clearly a professional, but also felt like they could be a friend. High key wish we didn't have to stop hanging out with Roberto. Go have this experience!

Captain Roberto is the best! He truly cares about his passengers having the best time, learning about the area, and caters to whatever you want to do. We caught a small tuna and he even cleaned it for me to take home.

So a few weeks ago my girlfriend (now-fiancé) and I booked a last minute trip to Puerto Rico, simply because it was the best flights we could find for the Valentine's Day long weekend and we wanted to explore somewhere new. We could have ended up literally anywhere, but I'm beyond happy we ended up in Aguadilla and I came across Roberto's boat tour. I had been planning to propose to my girlfriend at some point on our trip. Since it was such short notice, I spoke with some Puerto Rican friends to ask them if there was anywhere special I could do it, but apart from a couple tourist attractions around the island, or some of the beaches on the east coast far from where we were staying, I wasn't thrilled with any of the options, until I found Roberto's tour. First things first, after booking (only 2 days before) I asked Roberto if it'd be possible to do the proposal on his boat. He calls you anyway when you book the tour to ask if there's anything special you want to do to personalize your experience. He seemed excited to help me out, and we spoke a bit about the itinerary. He had some great ideas to help hide the ring in a shell if we stopped at a beach but overall I thought it'd be best to do it near the end of the tour during sunset. He said there would be 2 other couples there as well, friends of his, and he'd already asked them if it'd be ok if I did the proposal, and they were excited as well. Anyway, when the day came around to to propose, it all went amazing, despite the challenge of whipping out an engagement ring on a rocking boat in the middle of the ocean. The other couples on the boat were super sweet and took photos of us and one of them even brought champagne, and my now-fiancé loved every second of it. It was an unforgettable experience that we'll remember forever. As far as the tour is concerned, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it even if you're not doing any special occasion like I was. Roberto is an awesome guy, and a very knowledgeable tour guide who tells you the history and geography of the Northwest corner of PR-- stuff that you wouldn't get from a guide book or a wiki page. The tour itself is very open to doing whatever you feel like; you can stop pretty much anywhere, go fishing, catch fish to feed to pelicans, jump in the water to go swimming if you want to, etc. He brought some sandwiches and Valentine's Day pastries for all of us, and was super thoughtful. If you luck out and get a pretty sunset, like we did, it makes it that much better. We didn't see any whales/dolphins, but bobbing around in the middle of the ocean on an old wooden boat watching a stunning sunset is worth it even without anything else. Had I not been planning the proposal and was just doing this as a normal vacation experience, I might have balked at the price and not ended up going on the tour, because I'm cheap and stupid when it comes to things like that. But having now done it, I think it's worth every penny and then some. What's the alternative? Chartering a boat for hundreds of dollars an hour? Even that's not worth it because you don't get the authentic local experience; you could do something like that anywhere else. So overall I'd highly recommend. Thanks Roberto!!!
