We will collect you from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu and bring you to our marina where you will board our speedboat for a 10 minute speedboat ride to Gaya Island. Here you will meet our expert PADI dive team who will give you an orientation of the the island and brief you on the days activities. You will enjoy 3 sessions of scuba diving from a boat, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. After each scuba dive you will return to our centre on Gaya Island for refreshments and lunch where you can take a short stroll around the bay looking for wildlife such as monkeys, monitor lizards, birds and butterfly's. Our staff to client ratio is very good, 4 divers to one PADI Instructor/ PADI Divemaster. We pride ourselves on small group instruction to maximise our clients experience and comfort.

I'm a PADI Course Director and the co-founder of Adventures In Borneo, aka Dive Downbelow. Together with my wife we established our PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Centre and have been operating here in Borneo since 2008. I am passionate about the environment and together with the team love to share our love for marine life.
We are based in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park where rainforest meets reef. We have 49 coral sites within minutes from our island based dive centre which is located just 10 minutes boat ride from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo.

We conduct our scuba diving from our PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development centre based on Gaya Island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park just 10 minutes offshore Kota Kinabalu in Sabah Borneo. During the scuba diving day trip you will visit 3 different coral reef sites. We will choose the best dive sites on the day taking into consideration diver experience and weather conditions.

If you are a qualified scuba diver you must bring with you your diving qualification card and log book. If you are a non qualified diver you must ensure you have completed our "Fit To Scuba Dive" medical form and if any answer is "yes" you must have a doctor sign the form to state you are dive fit.
