Apricot dumplings are locally called "Marillenknödel" and it is a typical Austrian dish. You can have it as dessert or even as a main dish. It is sweat and yummy, with fresh fruit inside! At the beginning of my cooking class I talk about the story of the apricot dumplings called "Marillenknödel" and I speak about the area in Austria where the best apricots are grown. When going about the course you will get a detailed explanation of how you should prepare it and what you have to be careful about. Everyone will be involved in the cooking and everyone will have hands-on experience of the preparation of the apricot dumplings. Please note: - Dish contains gluten - Dish can be prepared as vegan or vegetarian After the cooking session we will enjoy the delicious apricot dumplings together and we can have a nice conversation. We can have a coffee and I can even show you how to brew coffee in Chemex (it is a type of filter coffee) or how to make an espresso with a ROK machine. I prefer to use speciality coffee beans, which smell and taste like fruits but you can also have that of Italian style.

I am literally a Monarchy person: born and raised in Budapest (Hungary) and have lived in Vienna for 15 years. My parents and great-grandparents are from Austria, Germany and Transylvania - so I definitely have a strong Monarchy heritage. I was raised with a passion for cooking and I strongly believe that the most important ingredient of any recipe is LOVE. I carefully select the ingredients. Whenever it is possible I choose organic stuff and shop directly from farmers or at the local butcher. I prefer cooking fresh and I hardly use anything that comes from the freezer. I never use microwave oven and I really like slow cooking! Once in a year I do a vegan fasting 1,5 months but on the other days I cook and eat basically all types of food.

The cooking courses take place in our cosy house in the 21st district. The house is located in a quiet habitation area with agricultural fields and grape yards in the neighborhood. The kitchen and the living room provide convenient space for the preparation of the dish, for the cooking itself and for the dining as well. Before or after the cooking class you can take a walk - the "Stadtwanderweg" route Nr. 5 starts just around the corner.
