1) We will meet at a designated location for archery in South Lake Tahoe on US Forest conservancy Land. 2) After group introductions I will provide guests with a brief overview in the history of the bow and arrow; as well as some fun facts about archery. 3) From the trailhead we will embark on an easy 5 minute hike to the designated archery area. Along the way I will talk about Indigenous cultures of the Washoe and Paiute natives who occupied the great Lake Tahoe basin. 4) From there we will discuss the different types of bows, their anatomy, the various parts and functions for each piece of equipment we will be using and review archery safety. 5) Guests will be assigned a bow based on height, arm length, strength, and draw weight of pull. Guests will be assigned to a target station on the archer line. 6) I will demonstrate how to string a bow and teach guests the proper archery technique. 7) Guests will become familiar with archer safety, setting up a bow, and proper archery techniques associated with aiming, targeting and arrow release. 8) Guests will practice their new archery skills learned, and leave experiencing one of the worlds oldest sport . . . Il tuo host
USA Archery level 2 instructor certification. Qualified to teach junior Olympic archers . I have over 3 years of teaching experience. I am patient in coaching everything from traditional archery to Olympic recurve and compound shooting. I have a range of instructor experience from teaching people who have never shot a bow to advanced archers. I have been doing archery for over 15 years now. Archery may be intimidating for beginners due to equipment costs and safety requirements. However I am dedicated to lowering the barriers for entry into the sport of archery and providing travelers access to experience something that may not be available back home. I am passionate in advancing the next generation of archers.

Dove ti troverai
The guest will find themselves in a beautiful outdoor setting in one of South Lake Tahoe's US Forest Conservancy land areas. The place we will visit is occupied by a variety of Lake Tahoe's wild life. You will often hear the sound of birds calling. Mountain Chickadees, Steller’s Jay's and Red Robins. Towering old trees such as Jeffrey pines, Sugar Pines , and Quaking Aspen are semi surrounded by growing tussock grasses and fresh Mountain air.
